With slick mud really just keep the speed as low as possible and leave extra room whenever possible. Also, KO2s are really, really bad in slick mud. If you plan on seeing mud, get some decent MTs. With MTs the trick is to clear them out with some wheel speed when it's safe to do so, but thick sticky clay can still ball up MTs pretty good even.
