It will be interesting to see how the ARB compressor holds up to the high temps under the hood...but since its really the only good option for a spot on these rigs, I'm hoping that compressor is very heat durable. Any know of any issues yet on the JK's that mounted these under hood?
We shall see. I do not think this is any different than what was mounted into the JK's. I would also like to hear if they help up in the JK's.

I did mount one and for me it really is the best location, hands down. For as little as I will use it to have that big ugly thing in the back on the side or taking up the back storage spot, this was a chance I was willing to try.

I did however upgrade my air line as first time out the plastic air line could not handle the heat. It appears the new stainless steel/teflon line will do the trick.

Has anyone been able to successfully mount under the passenger seat?

Two problems mounting under the seat with the JL are 1) there isn't really enough room 2) there is an hvac duct right where you might want to mount it.

I’ve had arb lockers before with their compressor. I under no circumstances wish to hear that thing run all day in the cab of a vehicle. It would be obnoxious. Especially as much as I used the lockers on some wicked trails.

Where did you get your stainless lines from? Where you able to fit ends on it just like a plastic line? Im sure its a newbie question, but I have never worked with airlines before and am about to install mine under the hood as well.

Kansascoast stepping here....I went to the local auto supply store and they were able to make me a braided stainless steel/teflon line the exact length....and with the fittings I wanted on each end. I had nylon air line tubing on mine and didn’t have any problem, but didn’t want to take any chances.

Sorry got to this a little late but yes what Kansascoast said. I had an issue with my first hose. I got basically plastic air hose. I blew a hole in it so I went to a "hose" store in my area and had a steel braided/teflon inside line made to my length and they put on the connections. I think I paid like $20 for it. If you can't find a place my guy said they do online orders and can give you my specs.

Having said all that I will give it the business this weekend and see if it holds. I tried it out already and it worked but that wasn't with a crazy hot engine bay.

For air needs other than air lockers, the MORE and the Innovative are great solutions. The skid plate? WT...

I’ll give the engine mount concept some time to....bake....before we see if it works.

I have an ARB Dual Compressor, I am curious how people are mounting it in a JL?

<EDITED WITH UPDATED THREAD INFO>

MORE bracket
Con: I am not that happy about the spot for when I have the hard top off...

Up Down Air skid mount
Con: Mounts low and ARB compressor cannot handle being submerged in water

Innovative JK Products
Con: Due to the air vent, it is mounted really far back... fear my kids will kick it all day

I emailed EVO, who has a JK bracket and their response was: "Currently we do not have any production plans"

Anyone come up with any alternatives????
Why mount it? Why not go with this portable version, which also has the advantage of a small inline tank to store some air and buffer the output? https://www.extremeterrain.com/arb-twin-high-performance-12-volt-portable-air-compressor-1.html
