I finally had the opportunity to get my dream Jeep. Meet my 2020 Bikini Pearl. Very much looking forward to making this one personal to me. I know the color is polarizing, but I absolutely LOVE it.

First round of updates. Most moved from last build.

1.Changed stock antenna, just because. Styling matches a CB antenna.
2.Installed the Misch Big Boy seat brackets. MUCH easier in a 4 door. They weren't designed for 2 door, so had to make them fit. 4 door, all fit perfect.
3. Bartact seat bag and console cover. Selling the seat covers as the blue from previous Jeep is too different. Plus 2 door covers have a cutout for handle to get into back seat.
4. 67 designs phone mount. Love love love this phone mount. Super stable.

Thanks! I did not like the color when it was first announced. But in person, I love it.

This is the 3.6 My last JL was a 2.0. I prefer the 2.0 engine. But this Jeep had everything else exactly the way I wanted, without having to order.

Completed the first "involved" mod over the weekend. Getting my amateur radio and antenna installed.

There is a very easy plug on the upper right side of the engine bay, just to the right of the brake booster. At least on an automatic. You can easily twist it out, drill a hole in the plug, and run cable through. Drops right down in the foot well. Then just need to run under carpet and stuff, cut to length and terminate.

Antenna mount is one from Topsy products. VERY stout mount. My only question now is, will it corrode? Seeing as how the mount is steel, and the fender is aluminum. There is bare aluminum under the bolt that holds the mount on. Which means both metals are directly touching each other. Need to send company an email.

I installed the radio for now using the Quadratec mount that makes it easy to remove. However, it is kind of in the way. I believe I will install the way I did on my last one. Hiding the brain up under the glove box. Mounting the face above the rear view.

Nest up will be my custom ordered Bartact seat covers. Can't wait!! Went black with grey insert. And Red stitching.

Next up was the aux switch switches and getting my on board air installed. OBA is much easier on a 4 door, simply due to access to the back seat it is still one of my all time favorite mods.

No pictures of the aux switch install this time around. But thats been documented elsewhere :)

I need to get better pictures, but posting anyway :).

Changed my ham radio install based on what I saw someone else on here do. I forget where I saw it, or I would credit the person.

Used a trigger 6 switch mount for the JL. Cut an ABS plate to match mount. Modified the mount and the ABS to fit my control head. This is a much better look than my last install I think.

Anyway you could post pics during the day? I love this idea and just would like to see better lighting.
