2018 Sahara JL. Planning to upgrade the wheels to either 17x9 (very likely) or 20x9 (possible but need comfortable ride with it being my daily).

I have been looking at the 285/70R17 Toyo OC AT3...it’s 11.2” wide.
Could I run a 33x12.5 without rubbing?

My JL is completely stock, no spacers and won’t be lifting, though I do like the look of the left, I just don’t off road so no real reason to do it other than aesthetics.

You will need to make sure to get the correct offset for the wheels to make sure it doesn’t rub while turning. You will most likely need to remove the euro inserts on the front bumper as well. If you don’t do any off-road you should be fine with no lift.

I'd run 17s, look for an offset around zero or slightly negative if you want to run a true 12.5" width. For a mild lift the Rubicon takeoff suspension is a good plan, here's my install info on that if you want a bit more room (and looks better w/a 33 :) :)

legally I can’t run negative offset here. Can’t be more than 1” outside fender. Am looking at a minimum of +18.

No biggie can run a 285/70 which is 32.8 x 11.2

Sahara has no euro inserts.

I'm of no help when it comes to what size will work without rub. One suggestion i can make, is to stick with a 17" wheel that will have a wider variety of tires available. It also helps daily driver comfort due to a taller sidewall. And try to stick with a C-rated tire, which will further help road comfort.

Here's my fit at the fender running 295/70/17s on an 8.5 +10 offset before my lift

I am looking at 9” wide wheels. Think+18 is about as deep as I can go
