So far, I will be OK. I plan on ordering my JLR 2.0 in Gobi before the end of the month.

If you want a two door Rubi, only the 2.0 is available.
If you want a JLUR, only 2.0 and diesel are available. There is more, but those were the ones I cared about.

I ordered my 2 door Rubi yesterday. Decided after much debate, research and test drives to go with the 3.6….although I was still doubting in the back of my mind. When the dealer told me that only the 2.0 was available, I kinda felt like it was meant to be. Kinda weird I know. Either way, I’m just excited to get back into a Wrangler!

I am with you there. I was also on the fence about the engine, but Jeep decided for me! Seems like everyone that has the 2.0 is pretty happy with it. I plan on ordering in the next few days. I too will be happy to get back into a Jeep. I had a Tacoma for a year and hated it off road. Congratulations on your order ?

They didn’t have all these options in 2001 and 2010 with the Wrangler, at least I don’t remember, I got what I could afford at the time. I’m excited to be able to have and keep my 3rd one for a much much longer time! Good luck with your order! I’m happy I’m not the only one that feels the 2.0 was meant to be lol

That sucks. Was there any word about the 3.0TT or if the 3.6 is coming back for MY23?

Nothing against the 2.0T as it seems like a good engine, but I'm not about to drop $60k and not get the engine I want. It just ain't gonna happen. I have a turbo 4-banger now, and just want something different. I honestly don't need a Wrangler or an off-road vehicle for that matter, just something I've always wanted. Of all things, I never imagined they'd run out of fucking engines. Guess I'll see what else is out there.

This will be my third as well. I had a 79 CJ5 in the early 90’s for a little bit and loved it. My second was a brand new 2008 JKUL that was great for my needs at the time, and got my kid into going off road, too. When she started playing softball competitively, my weekends were dedicated to softball, and the miles were piling up, so I sold it. Now that she is graduating high school, I am going back to a 2door. They are so much fun to tool around in!

Might be worth waiting until the middle of August. That is supposedly when the 2023’s will be available to order. The video makes no mention of the new V6.

It sounds like they are only taking orders that they can fulfill at this time.

Mid-August is when production is supposed to start. Mid-July is when they start taking orders.

Probably a dumb question, but would a 25th Anniv. Edition Rubicon be MY22 or 23?

In either case, maybe they'd be so kind as to let me get a 3.6 in a 2-door for one of those (3.0TT S.O. or factory supercharged 3.6 would be even better, but I'm not holding my breath after all this nonsense).

Horrible turn of events. I should've put in my order for the 2-door 3.6L manual rubicon when I had the chance. Here's hoping the manual comes back for 2023.
