A hitch hauler is like $120 if you have a hitch receiver. Wrap it in bubble wrap and ratchet strap it to the hitch hauler.

WHAT! You actually got $80 for a plastic sport bumper! I'm not sure if I could even accept that much from someone. Well good for you bro! You wouldn't want to buy mine for $40 would you? You can sell it for $80, not a bad profit. Let me know.

Those stock parts come in handy w/ trade-ins. $1000 bumper off, $80 bumper on. The dealer certainly isn’t going to give you more $$$$. ?

I also have the rear stock bumper $40 or $75 for both front & rear. If you know of anyone interested please send them my way. I also have an EAG 3/16" steel bumper brand new in the box for $250. $275 with license plate relocation kit. For $300 it also comes with a brand new in the box 21" light bar.

I kept my sport bumper for this very reason. So when I got the free Rubicon plastic; I was okay with selling my
Sport bumper. When the time comes down the road, the rubi plastic will go back on.

This is completely random, I have a 2 door and my Jeep will be fully occupied. I found a mopar steel bumper for an excellent price that coincides with a trip I’m taking.

my question is if I take the ends off, Will the stubby portion of the bumper fit in my trunk or should I start My trip without a bumper and bolt it on; on the spot?

Personal experience here for you, if it helps.

I once bought a new Mopar steel bumper from a guy, and in order to get it in the back of my wife's 2-door (rear seats out), all we had to do was remove one side of the bumper. I have no doubt a 4-door could handle a full size bumper with the seats all the way down.

Maybe at an angle standing up, but would be TIGHT. You could just swap out the bumpers when you get there and trash the stock plastic one. ?

Another option is to install the steel bumper and tie your plastic one to the spare or use a tow hitch basket as already suggested. The plastic bumper only weights 35lbs as opposed to over twice that for the steel one and 18 lbs more if you also get the steel skidplate.

I appreciate everyones comments. I have my soft top on currently.

I’m thinking no bumper is the way.

I like this option if its not too far. I would tape off the fog light connector if you think you will see rain. Its pretty quick to get it on if you have an impact and swivel adapter. Mine took a few min to massage getting the bumper on since the bolts are tight.
