I’m running the aluminum mp concepts bumper from extreme terrain. It’s cheap, made in China aluminum.

However it looks stock, it weighs less than my stock plastic bumper. The winch plate is solid and puts the winch between the rails so me diesel will stay cool!

I’ve already bent the skid plate my 1st time out, but I’m good with it!

Those would not last for me. I carry flat back spray paint with me to "touch" up bumpers, skid plates, and rock rails.

I'm running the RR Arcus. It checked all my requirements. Light weight, recessed winch and let me reuse the Factory Fogs. I painted the Hooks Red to match the Rubicon hooks I removed.

One of my good Jeeping bud's has that bumper. It is a tough bumper. His junk Harbor Freight winch turned itself on in the middle of the night and ate itself up. It was not able to break the synthetic rope so it just pulled and pulled until it broke the winch and melted to winch wire going to the positive post on the battery. Te winch slightly bent the Poison Spyder bumper. A cheap bumper, it would have caused major damage.

thats why HF includes a power kill switch with their junk winch. so people dont have power to the winch 24-7; only when needed.

I am also looking for a bumper to replace my stock plastic bumper. There are a lot of options out there. It would be helpful if folks could show what bumper they have installed on their wrangler as well as what winch you went with and how it fit. One question I have is guys with the aftermarket bumper and stinger bar smaller bar, how much does in interfere with the forward camera?

I have been going back and forth between the rock-hard 4x4 mid aluminum to save weight. It has nice looks and fits all the needs of recessed winch as well as lights.

Another bumper I have been looking at is from Hefty Fabrication. It is a stubby with recessed winch, factory light pockets, as well as hoop and light tabs. Best of all listed as 3/16 steel and weighing in at I believe 48 lbs! I believe they also offer a sway bar skid plate that attaches. I haven't seen anyone with this bumper yet and am curios what you all think of it. It looks to fit all the needs.

If youre interested in keeping the factory fogs look into the Next Venture bumper. I ordered mine a little over a week ago so Im still waiting for it to come in but its one of the only bumpers Ive found that keeps the factory fogs as well.

Many reviews say the MP install is difficult (4+ hours). Was that your experience?

I got my Roam stubby thru @TTEChris when I lived in Houston, it does not have a spot for factory fogs but the fog switch is wired into an LED light bar
