I'm in the same boat, mine is my daily driver about 50 miles a day. I have looked at many lift options and keep coming back to the Mopar lift, what isn't clear is the added parts such as adjustable track bars, adjustable lower control arms to add more caster etc... What is "really" needed? I am concerned I will put the lift on, drive and realize I need the additional parts to fix what has been knocked out of whack by adding the lift. I want to run 35's on 17's, no rock crawling but will see some trails and light off roading.
Agreed. It would be nice to see if somebody who went with the Mopar and added extra parts can share exactly what they bought and what exactly it improved. Links to the parts are also welcomed :like:

I posted this informstion earlier in the thread.

1. Adjustable front track bar
2. RK front spring perches
3. Geometry correction brackets (can use these or adjustable arms. I prefer the brackets).

Front track bar centers front axle.
RK perches correct spring bow.
Geometry brackets correct caster and put arms back closer to stock angles which results in a better ride quality.

Nothing else is needed.

It all depends on how much height you get when you lift it. My suggestion would be measure before and after you put the lift on, if you get 2” of lift then nothing else needed. If you get closer to 3” or more than get the extra parts.

Rear track bar relocation bracket and/or adjustable rear track bar is likely needed as well.

Not at all. I have this set up on my JLUR and the difference between front and rear was less than .2 on the alignment sheet which is nothing.
The track bar bracket does more than just re-center the axle. It raises the roll center of the vehicle which reduces body roll. Besides that people have posted pictures with the rest able as much as 1" out of center with no bracket/track bar installed.

Maybe with the stock front and rear it is an inch off. With an adjustable front I'm at less than .2. A rear adjustable isn't needed. An adjustable rear will do nothing for roll center. A bracket will. However at this height the difference will be very small.

How is replacing the front track bar going to affect the rear axle? There are photos on this site from people who installed the mopar lift with rear axles way out of center. That's great that you didn't need one but to say that nobody else will is short-sighted.

If you replace neither, for some, the jeep was dog walking. Each axle gets pulled a different way.

If you correct the front, a small offset on the rear is a non issue. Aditionally, the roll center at this height isn't of concern. I If it was a major issue Metal Cloak, Clayton, Rancho etc would be including the rear bracket with all of their kits.

Are you saying 1" is a small offset? Like I said, it's great if you didn't need it. Every vehicle is different (hence why everything is adjustable from the best manufacturers) but the whole point of my post is that some people may need it. Some people are getting close to 4" of lift out of the Mopar kit as well. Roll center is definitely an issue at that point.

So 4wheelparts really recommends the rubicon express 2.5 lift with mono tube 2.5 shocks. I’m pretty sure they’re bias but claim it’s a no brainer when picking between this and the Mopar lift.
Is it because that’s a brand they sell at their shops or are those mono tube shocks really much better than the Fox 2.0s?

I’m asking around but with them I will get installation for $300 if I do it this week and go with the RE lift. If not $700 with any other lift kit.

4WP always pushes RE and Pro Comp as the best. They are their house brand. They make the most money off of them.

Do you have a Rubicon? If so I believe the RE kit is 2.5" Sport/Sahara but only nets 1.5" Rubicon. I remember reading this on their site.

I wouldn't be pressured into anything. Is the RE kit a crappy kit? No. However, is it what you want?

not an option at all for me. I just want to know if their shocks are better than the ones that come with the mopar ones. Cause that’s their biggest claim

I think i covered that earlier. The RE shocks are no where even in the same spectrum as Fox. Especially the 2.5 body of the Mopar Fox.

The fox 2.5 shocks that come with the Mopar are much better shocks than what they’re pushing.
