Yep. Horsepower numbers don't mean squat. It's all about the torque curve. The 2.0 has much better torque at usable RPMs. Thing is, an engine with all It's power up high in the RPM range is fine. You just have to put in shorter gears. What does Jeep do? Run them with 3.45s (and 3.21s in the JK).🤡
I love torques. That’s how you say it, right? Torques? That’s what Jeep told me to say.

I'm really looking forward to spending all my time at 4500 RPM when I tow the JL out west with the JT sometime in the next couple years.

Good luck with that. Make sure your brakes are in good shape and have a good trailer brake controller. Mountain passes are unforgiving.

Yeah, brake controller is on the list. Better rotors and pads on the list. I also don't drive fast even without a trailer. With one, I'mma be camping in the right lane.

Stupid question…..but doesn't a gas guzzler produce more emissions?
My ram 1500 with 5.7L hemi weighed 1k pounds more than the JLUR and returned better fuel economy than the v6 and the same fuel economy of the 2.0t yet I had to pay a gas guzzler tax on it? In a modern fuel injected engine, I'd argue that the emissions would be equivalent or nearly so per gallon burned. That said, half the cylinders doesn't result in half the emissions if it requires the same amount of fuel to do the job.

Those sand lice are about the only comparable vehicles that see as much dirt as Jeeps do. Toyotas and their fire roads don't really count.
Haven't heard the term sand lice before but I like it. That's exactly how I feel about those stupid things.

Yes. It's not a complicated concept - you get more power out of less MPGs.
They're superior because they get more power out of less MPGs? That's some fucked up logic there.
