I was wiring up some lights to the Aux switch wiring under the hood. I noticed I only have 4 wires under there, I have the wires for aux 1, 2, and 4, and the battery power wire. I appear to be missing the wire for Aux 3, and the keyed power wire. This is on a 2020 JLU Rubicon. Is this normal?

Unless I’m remembering incorrectly you have Aux 1-4 wires under the hood. In the interior you have those same 4 wires plus battery positive and ignition positive for a total of 6. How are you determining the under hood wire is battery positive rather than an Aux switch wire. Check out this @Northridge4x4 video.

I will have to double check, I could have sworn I read that there were 6 under the hood as well, and that the one that was hot matched the color code of the battery wire in a pic I saw. Maybe switch 3 was on when I tested with my test light.

I just checked mine. 4 under the hood, 6 under passenger side dash. @kah.mun.rah gave you the best info

FYI, if the aux switches were not factory installed, and instead installed via the add-on MOPAR aux switch kit, then you get 4 under the hood, and only 4 in the passenger footwell. The kit looks just like the factory install inside, and works the same way with the vehicle setup in the dash screen. The add-on MOPAR aux switch kit does not have the battery wire or ignition wire in the passenger footwell. It also has its own set of 4 fuses under the hood.

I can see why putting a battery wire next to the battery is a little redundant but it would be nice if they included the ignition wire under the hood. Sadly the 4 aux wires are all that you will probably find under the hood.

Not really redundant since that wire is fused.

Nope. When I wired up my ditch lights there were only 4 wires under the hood as ka.mun.rah lists.
