That makes sense! I just keep hearing great thanks about this exact center and it has me curious.
give it a try. Luckily the steering stabilizer is one of the easiest parts to switch out if you decide to try something else.

Another great point :) yeah way easier than a complete lift or something else

I dont have a 392, but, I can attest to buy it all right the first time. I have the AEV dualsport lift on mine and am slowly changing it all over to MC 3.5. I should have done MC the first time.
I've run the AEV lift previously and thought it was decent (though it needs a track bar - regardless of what they say).

Why are you switching it over?

37 KO2’s for sure, they do everything I like for my 80% on road driving. They are quiet, drive very nicely, and are less weight than others. I have done a bunch of others on my past builds including TSL Superswampers and while they are all amazing performers I don’t want to listen to that all the time and have my ears buzzing after a longer highway trip

On my last build I used a Falcon Adjustable Steering Stabilizer and it was night and day for me on a 2 Dr JK. So when I get close to installing the lift I’ll see what everyone is recommending. But that one would be my first choice without research. It took care of ALL my steering issues, then I upgraded to a PSE Steering box so I’ll probably follow suit with that also.

What’s your take on this versus the Clayton Offroad 2.5 kit? I know sometimes that’s like asking Coke or Pepsi but I’m about to pull the trigger.
Metalcloaks are also maintenance free joints. As other people have said, everyone loves both kits and both kits are hight quality. Do you prefer all black underneath or do you like the gold.
Everyone raves about metalcloaks customer service and i can attest to that. They will call the next day to confirn your order and answer any questions you may have. I had my lift in less than a week after placing my order. Once I installed it, the rear was 2" taller than the front. It looked too funny with the rear so tall, definitely not normal. After 1 phone call and 2 emails in the same day, Metalcloak shipped me out a new set of rear springs at no charge. They said it should only be a 1" rake and not 2". I had the replacement springs 4-5 days later.
I also installed their Undercloak skid plates and had a couple of questions before installing. They always answered the phone promptly and took the time to answer my questions. No waiting on hold or getting the run around.

Also remember that if you go with the 3.5" lift, you'll want longer shocks to use all that new flex you're paying for with the suspension. Longer shocks for taller lifts potentially means a new front drivshaft. You could have the same issue with a 2.5" lift as well depending on shock extended length.
You'd be robbing yourself of down travel with a taller lift and shorter extended shocks.

Caster was very shallow, slightly fixed with the mopar LCAs. Cant get the alignment in spec, pulls right. Incomplete kit as far as NEEDING trackbars. Front shocks weeping that are “in spec, and supposed to do that” per AEV warranty people. Those are the issues. I do like the spring rates on the AEV coils. Finally I want to go to a 3.5” lift. So I am piece mealing it together a few parts at a time. I should have gone MC the first time. I really wanted to. Live and learn I guess.

I took it out today just to get a feeling with the stock suspension again. I’m ready for an upgrade or at least today was my justification for spending the money :)

After seeing how close the front bump stops were on the front end just at ride height was my justification... lol. With the winch and lights and hoop, I was about an inch away from the bump stops.

I know what you are talking about. I can’t imagine the 392XR that has 1” more bump stop! Same lift.

I do not have a 392 but I do have the XR package that has the same stuff. I have the MC Gamechanger 2.5. It gave me 2.5 of lift on my XR almost exactly. I have bumpers front and back and a winch as well as sliders. So far I really like this kit. On and offroad are very nice. I have Fox 2.5's on backorder. 2.0's on it now. I really like the fact that everything stays the same with switch from 2.5 to 3.5 if I decide to go that way in the future. I can also attest to great customer service. The other thing for me at the time was MC has a lot of sales. 10 percent off and free, quick, shipping helped me save a lot of money. I do not like to get on email lists but got on their list and have taken advantage of it. There joints are also low maintenance.

Yeah the 2.5” lift only gains an inch. What tires are you thinking? Not to derail the topic … haha
Before and after lift with the MC 2.5" for a real world picture of the midarm lift.

Food for thought. Maybe consider a set of Fox bumps. The tubes get cut to install, giving you a little more adjustment in your up travel.
