just moved the jeep to flat ground. I had it nose downhill on my driveway. Going to see if that has anything to do with it. Don’t see why it would but I just set it up again and we’ll see if it holds. If not, might tackle the slave bleeding method with the pedal being depressed this weekend. The slave cylinder was replaced when I installed the ACT clutch. Just from a visual inspection there seems to be no leaking on the outside but who is to know if the internals are all good in both the slave and master cylinders.Well that's frustrating. I guess time to pull the slave and see if leaking in there if you haven't done that already.
I do believe my shift cables were bent or torqued in a weird way during the install. Is it possible, that without disconnecting them from the trans, that they could still have been damaged? I think I mentioned it earlier but I got under the jeep last weekend and while my brother shifted the jeep, the forward/back gate cable was moving around in its bracket underneath the jeep. I also notice that the gear gates seem to shift ever so slight when in driving. For instance, 2nd gear is something closer to me and sometimes a little farther away. It doesn’t stay put , though. I shit the same every time, and it’ll grind different gears even though all other factors in my shifting remain the same. Just feels off.
While I’m “working” on the jeep today, I tired adjusting my cables again from inside the cabin. When I adjust it per the PDFs posted in this thread and in this site, I am locked out of first. That just reinforces my belief that something is up with my cables at the transmission.
