Any suggestions for solid lug nuts? Mine are getting pretty beat up and the socket doesn't always fit too well.

Gorilla makes good quality products, including lug nuts.

I have used Gorilla on cars and Jeeps. You can actually contact them and ask for recommendations! Their products in my experience have been first quality.

I just researched this the other day gorilla seems to be the value leader between a quality product and a reasonable price. Justforjeeps.com had a good price with free shipping and no sales tax. I just picked up the black acorn style ones, they should arrive early next week. Will take photos when they get here if you want.

You can have my OEMs + key if you want them as spares. I'm on tuner lugs now, so I have no use for them. PM if you want them. My feelings won't be hurt if you don't. ;)... I don't want any money.

They're just sitting around like unused luggage. I've also had the Gorillas and loved them.

I know this is not what you asked, but be careful to get correct fitting lug nuts. A few weeks back I was at O'Reilly Auto to replace my Jeep lugs nuts. They did not have the correct nuts but a kid that worked there tried to sell me some "tuner lug nuts" with a cone section that was way too small. He said they would fit. Yes, they would "fit" but they would not have maintained the correct wheel to hub clamping load.

Conical base size is very critical, as you mentioned.

Curious as to why not?
@jludave
I believe conical base is smaller and also no keyed splines to slow the thieves down.

Also don't care for the look of those.. On stock rims they don't look as good..

Sure, the ones you mentioned can be used though.
----------------------------------------------------

This Gorilla offering has at least one splined per wheel and conical base looks ok

Thanks guys. Looks like I'll go with the Gorilla brand in a non-splined version. Trust me, no one would want my beat up wheels and tires. Besides, I'm too good at loosing the damn adapter. Not fun with a torn out sidewall way back there.
