Are the lug nuts the same on my 25 Sport steel wheels as the lug nuts on the Sport S's aluminum wheels?

I am buying a set of new takeoff aluminum wheels off of an S. I want to buy black lug nuts and need to know what to order.

For those that go with Gorilla, do know they have top notch customer service.

Call: 325-585-2852 , if you have any issues or if you need additional lugs or an additional key.
I found that the Gorilla reps were quick to answer, very helpful, USA reps.

Oh ..... Some here may be interested in the "Dorman Hack"

I also bought Gorilla nuts. I have a minor amount of surface rust on a couple nuts I can probably clean off or warranty. I bought this set specifically arranged for Jeep Wranglers (18 lugs + 5 locks)

https://www.justforjeeps.com/gorilla-factory-black-jl-lugs-with-locks.html
I have run Gorrilla lug nuts on JK's and JL's for many years.. Never had any issues with rust.. If I did though, I'm confident Gorrilla, Customer Service would send a replacement for the problematic lug(s)

Like any splined lug, best to not use air tools / power tools to remove or install them... Use those and you risk amputating a spline, etc..

I wash the wheels/lugs and every third wash or so, I spray the lugs with a light coat of Pig Spit... Keeps the lugs looking like new for years.. The Pig Spit coating wards off rust, corrosion, etc.

It seems then that the stamped steel wheel and the cast aluminum wheel use the same lug nut.

Aluminum wheels are much thicker than a stamped steel wheel and sometimes requires a longer stud or a shank on the lug nut.

Thanks

P.S. It sucks getting old. I did not have the grip strength to pry out the fuel cavity insert so I used my soldering iron and melted the tabs. Hopefully, I can still manage the 130 lbs for the lug nuts.

That's crazy they were that short. It would be nice to have shorter lug nuts though. The ones I bought along with my MR707's are stupid long. I want to go back and buy some shorter ones for aesthetics. Hell, I have even thought of going to an open style nut.

I prefer the standard hex lug vs the splined lug. I just like the look better. Not really concerned with theft. Stealing from me is like stealing from the Mob.
