Sometime in the first quarter of last year, they were told that build status codes were not to be given or confirmed any longer. I called back a few times and got someone who was willing to go outside of the rules and give me a code. I hope she still has her job. How hard is it to throw waiting customers a bone? Why all of the secrecy?
The code is useless to the consumer. What’s more useful information, “Hi Bob your Jeep is currently in code G, have a good day” or “Hi Bob your Jeep is currently in the trim stage preparing for paint”?

The latter is more useful to the consumer.

The most useful information (code) is when the dealer contacts you and tells you they have the Jeep, come pick it up.

FWIW, Also ordered from Jason at Hawk CDJR. Great experience working with Jason. I ordered a JLUR on 1/4/22... but still waiting on parts... no ETA. Not sure what the culprit is, but...

Options:
Auto 2.0L, Leather, Body Color Hardtop/Fenders, Gorilla Glass, Rock-Trac FT 4WD, Steel Bumper, Safety, LED, Tow and Electrical, Cold Weather
Maybe they used your parts to build an October order.

The two statements provide the same information, I understand and agree with that. My point was that enthusiasts on here seem to know of and find value in the status codes. For some reason, Jeep decided to stop providing those. That's all.

Couldn’t agree more. Good thing I have a beer fridge, it really helps with the waiting part, that and trying to decide on 223 other accessory/parts options.

My problem is with the ship/delivery time after being built. We all understand chip and material shortages, but when my Rubi was built and ready to ship 1/11 and is still sitting in Toledo with no dealer eta as of 3/1, we have an undeniable failure in the process.

As if they couldn't project and preschedule the resources to ship the Jeeps once they were built.

The problems with shipping in the rail industry as well as the trucking industry is as real and debilitating as the chip shortages are. It doesn't make it any better, but it's the truth. When mine sat 7 miles from my house for 2 weeks I was told there used to be as many as 60 trucks a day taking cars to dealers. Now they are lucky to see that in 2 weeks.

Right now, I would settle for anything, just start building my Jeep! Oh how I would love to complain about my Jeep taking months to ship, after it is built!

JC is a joke, they ask for all your info before the chat & then again once you reach someone! The parts gathering, has been copied & ready to paste on a reply.

What amount of time did your dealer tell you, it would
take?

Yeah, It’s pretty irritating putting in a bunch of information just so you can ask what the status is for vin number xyz. Dealer told me 3-5 months, they had just downgraded to that as opposed to 3 months.

Pepper23, I am coming up on three months, from December 16th start building date of 2022. It takes almost a month for shipping, I am at four if they even started building. Five months might be the right number! Good luck on your build!

I was told 3 months end of December for my nearly stock Sport S order. If it makes it in the next couple weeks that will be true. It’s on a rail car currently in Missouri so there is a chance ?I purposely left off a lot of the technology upgrades in the hope of speeding up the process. Only opted for tow package.

I ordered what I wanted, figured I’d rather wait a little longer if necessary, and no telling which minuscule piece might hold up the order, good luck to us all. My build:
