Hello all. After 10 months of ownership, I figured it was time to start a build thread and get caught up on what I’ve done and have a place to show off new mods as I go. It started off with an early January 2021 order from Gupton, which I picked up at the end of February. JLUR, 3.6 auto, LED lighting, tow package, 8.4”, Alpine, front camera.
I already had a Rugged Ridge Arcus front bumper along with a Warn Zeon 10-s ready to go on when I got it home.
Fast forward to late spring/early summer, I was REALLY enjoying the Jeep life but soon got sick of the Freedom panels, so I installed a Trektop NX. So much more freedom and much easier to flip back the front section vs dealing with freedom panels.
I had lost some height in front due to the winch and bumper, so I tore apart the front to install Teraflex 1” spacers
By July, the wife unit was tired of being jealous, so she grabbed a JLU Sport Altitude of her own, and I installed a Bestop Sunrider in place of her freedom panels.
All sexy in safari mode, and a trip to the creek with the little one
Picked up this ol Fox to play with, which set the Jeep mod budget back several months
After a few months of recovering from the mustang purchase, it was time for some real mods on the Jeep. I initially ordered the Rock Krawler 3.5” Adventure system, but after input from a few members (thanks Roky and Headbarcode!) I went ahead and ordered RK front and rear upper control arms, Clayton rear LCA’s (I couldn’t find the RK in stock?) and RK rear track bar, as well as Fox 2.0 IFP shocks for 3.5-4” lift, winding up with a modified version of a Rock Krawler 3.5” Ultimate Adventure. Also ordered was Method MR315 17x9-12 along with Baja Boss AT 37x12.50 tires.
Finally got around to the install this weekend, and I must say I LOVE it!! I’ve still got to install the Steersmarts draglink, tierod, and stabilizer relocation kit I ordered, but that will have to wait a few days.
Near future plans when funds and time allows is a beefy rear tire carrier as well as some sort of slider/steps. Maybe in a few months will add a rear bumper and some skid plates. Thanks for following along! I leave you with a picture of the one that started my off-road love…
