So if they work then it's the sensor. If it's the sensor then I probably made a mistake in ordering the sensor. Now I remember even on eBay sellers were selling sensors labeled 1,2,3,4,5
So which one do I need to order? How have others done it here? Because I'm sure not everyone ordered 5 sensors.

If they work at the axle connector, check at the bulkhead connector inside the axle where the internal harness from the actuator coil connects, for 12v pos and neg.

If the above check good, you can test the coil for function by applying 12v directly to the coil actuator red and black wires at the internal connector.

The Mopar kit, indeed, comes with 5 sensors. It's crazy.

So I will do all this and get back and maybe update this thread. I don't think a mention was made in the original write ups about this. Or maybe I missed it. I'll have to order the diff oil again and getting the correct one is a pain here. Maybe I'll pot the older sensor and see if it works

You should be able to test function without putting the cover back on.

So how do I know what sensor would I need if I just need one for the rear? Where do the other 4 sensors go?
Any part number if I am ordering again?
I had ordered this OEM Mopar 68544629AA Locking Axle Sensor

The kit consisted of 5 sensors which had slightly different calibrations. There was a trial and error process to find the correct one. The other 4 were not used. The kit was very expensive, upward of $500. I would simply bypass the sensor with one of the jumper bypass wires sold by either Z-automotive or on Ebay.

So with the sensor bypassed would the lockers still work?

IF, indeed, your sensor was bad, yes, the bypass would make the locker work. That's the whole intent of the bypass, to fool the system into thinking the sensor is working. But if something else is defective in the system, the bypass won't help.

Right! @virkdoc my name shouldn’t be coming up except as someone referring folks back to @chevymitchell specifically page 1 with the pics and write up with some addendums by @roaniecowpony if it’s more than a sensor issue are all that’s needed.
Sorry we were just stumped and parts are not easily available here so I was just grasping at all straws I could.
But super thanks to @roaniecowpony who was up all night I guess responding immediately.
Have a frame in mind now. Will get back and update this thread.

No worries I was just saying although I’m always happy to answer questions, those guys are the ones who know what they’re taking about, I didn’t mean for it to sound like I was annoyed. Just that my knowledge is minimal. No need to apologize.

So @chevymitchell and @roaniecowpony
The diff was opened again and the older sensor was put back in.
My buddy says the sensor works but the light does not go away.
Posting the video he made...So we are back to square one.
Also he added that the with the new sensor the light comes on immateriality and with the older sensor which has been cleaned and potted the light comes on after a few minutes.
