Damn, @AcesandEights, way to be the fun police.Lots of comedians on the forums. The truth of the matter is wind noise can cause ear damage and hearing loss. An earache is certainly a normal result of driving with the window down (or doors off), and yes, many people experience it. Motorcyclists, bicyclists, etc. If you Google it, I'm sure you'll find studies that show the wind, and wind noise, are detrimental and can cause an earache.
As an example: https://www.hear-it.org/motorcycles-hazardous-to-your-hearing - "At 100 kilometres per hour (63 miles per hour) sound levels range between 103 dB and 116 dB. At those highway speeds a drive without hearing protection should be limited to less than 15 minutes."
