I don't get an earache from the window down or doors off.

Try this, every 30 seconds or so say um-hmm. Every two minutes change um-hmm to yes honey. Every ten minutes, I’m sorry.

If that doesn’t work, apply more beer.

I’m not a doctor, but I stayed at a holiday inn express like 3 months ago.

With top and doors off and driving north that 30 mph crosswind kills my left ear. I have to hold hand over it until I make some turn. Driving south if my wife is with me, she bitches even with hat on her hair beats her to death. Needless to say, I drive mostly alone on windy ass days. Texas has a lot of those. :lipssealed: :CWL:

With freedom tops off, yes, little shelf under ebrake holds my ear plugs, leftover from my Harley days.

Lots of comedians on the forums. The truth of the matter is wind noise can cause ear damage and hearing loss. An earache is certainly a normal result of driving with the window down (or doors off), and yes, many people experience it. Motorcyclists, bicyclists, etc. If you Google it, I'm sure you'll find studies that show the wind, and wind noise, are detrimental and can cause an earache.

As an example: https://www.hear-it.org/motorcycles-hazardous-to-your-hearing - "At 100 kilometres per hour (63 miles per hour) sound levels range between 103 dB and 116 dB. At those highway speeds a drive without hearing protection should be limited to less than 15 minutes."
