Anyone ordering this? What's your reasoning whether yes or no?
Yep. Because I drove a JK with the LED's, and they were great. The halogens on my JK were absolutely awful. I put Trucklites on my JK and it was 200% better. Also, LED brake lights come on very slightly quicker when you press the pedal and they are activated, very slightly reducing reaction time for a vehicle behind you.

Plus, Mark Allen said the inspiration for the LED headlight center shape was Luke Skywalker's googles on the ice planet Hoth in "The Empire Strikes Back". That alone is enough for me. ;)

No.

Needs heat, so TruckLites instead despite their dreaded X light pattern.

However, if I were in warmer climates I would probably stick with the OEM LEDs.
I swore I saw a video where either Mark Allen or another Jeep rep said drop-in headlights are not compatible with the JL. I'm not 100% on that, but I'm fairly sure. I'm hoping the factory LEDs are designed to let just enough heat get to the lense to keep it defrosted. If I lived in the Great White North like you, I'd go with the standard halogens, for sure.

You are right about the Truckltes, though. I have Trucklites on my JK and I've been through a number of snow showers and storms with them, but only had them freeze over once. Unfortunately, it was in blizzard conditions on I70 in Vail Pass, CO. They froze over quickly and completely. That storm had the perfect conditions for it, with lots of icing. They closed the highway through that pass after I got on it. The headlights were worthless. Fortunately, I had Baja Designs Fuego off-road driving lights at the time, which were 120w, I think. I also kept the incandescent fog lights, for just this reason. They did the job, but that was a bad deal. I'm planning on switching to the heated Trucklites next year. I'd hoped to do them this year, but the JL is wiping out my bank account. I love the Trucklites, though. The X pattern doesn't bother me a bit, because the brights are just awesome. Really, the low beams are pretty amazing, too. Lots of light out to the sides, as well, which makes it much easier sighting those suicidal deer as they stand by the road contemplating going for it.

@DanW I also read that the diameter is larger somewhere. Whatever is drop in for JK will not work for JL.

I'm confused as to why the safety group is not cheaper if you have the LED package. Both include the rear tail lights. I hate paying for things twice.

The Safety Group is cheaper if you also purchase the LED Lighting Group. MSRP changes from $895 to $795. (Configuring a 2-door. Assume the 4-door is the same.)

I didn't notice that and didn't see it on the order form. I could be wrong. If so I guess that's ok, but still $100 credit for LED tail lights, kinda weak.

I stand corrected. I see it on the order sheet now. I still think $100 is a joke.

I'm not going to buy it from the factory, because like Ape I live in a colder climate. Plus, I think the aftermarket will offer a better option for less money.

Are the JL headlights bigger than the standard 7" lights in the JK? I thought I read or saw that somewhere, if that is the case it could be a long time before the aftermarket provides anything, the standard 7" headlight fits so many other vehicles besides JKs that is probably the main reason for such a huge amount of aftermarket choices.

This is disappointing considering I was hoping to bring my JW Speaker headlights over from my JK. But based on the loaner that TFL has, the stock JL OEM LED lights are apparently nice and bright. That's a good thing considering the JK's '17+ LED lights are a joke.
