This may have been covered before but I couldn't find it under past threads.. I forgot when I ordered my 2023 2-door Wrangler to add the LED package and my dealership said I could add later and they said about $1000 which is less than the price for the order package but still seems high.. I am on a tight budget so not sure if that is what I have to expect and if so I guess I will have to stick with the halogens.. Any insight would help:facepalm:

I would be very careful with what the dealership means by "about $1000", and if they are changing all the lights or just headlights, and if they are even using the OEM LEDs, or aftermarket.

Personally I never had an issue with the halogens other than the looks of it vs the LEDs.

I agree,, I was wondering the same thing.. A few years back (and I know prices have gone crazy since then) my local 4-wheel drive place put in new LED headlights on my YK for $400.00 so I guess I should check with them and really ....the halogens are pretty good esp if you use the fog lights at the same time
Thanks for your reply

On a Sport, the LED pkg is headlights and fog lights. The fender lights and tail lights remain halogen.

No way that the headlights and fog lights could be done with OEM parts for $1000, unless you do the work.

Tail lights are another $650 or so. The Sport fenders will not accommodate the OEM LED daytime running light/turn signal and there is no aftermarket light that I know of that does the same thing. The best you can do is put a switchback bulb in the existing housing, even then, it won't function as a DRL.

There are some decent aftermarket LED assemblies and a whole lot of junk. Same with the tail lights. So be careful choosing, or ask here before you buy.

Another thing you can do is put LED bulbs in your existing headlights and fog lights. Just make sure you get a quality bulb that is an actual replacement for the halogen bulb, not a cheap bulb that you have to clock and adjust yourself. The cheap ones will piss everyone around you off and you won't get a devent amount of light output from them.

Not if you don't want too. I swapped out my halogen lights on my 2-door wrangler with Lasfit LED's, I didn't have to make any changes to the computer system, they are plug & play, they are super (insane) bright, at a great price, and they are a forum sponsor. You're welcome, enjoy! ?

BTW & FYI: If you do decide to go with these lights, it's seems counterintuitive but make sure this is vertical when you install them. ?

Or.... For about a 3rd of the price, You can get these error free H13 LED headlights from China!

$16.61 H13 Led Headlights Canbus No Error

I actually have this exact same set in my garage right now. I was running it in the vans we drive at work for a while, and one of these days I'm going to switch it into my Wrangler. However I currently have another set of H13 LED headlights I got from China about 6 years ago for my Jeep Patriot I used to have. The headlights I have in there are still good, I just wanted to swap these ones in to see if they're any brighter.

On the plus side the fact that you have the halogens with the reflective housing, means that when you install aftermarket LED lights they will be even more bright and blinding to oncoming traffic than the OEM LEDs would be. So kudos to you, you saved money and you'll be getting a brighter more powerful headlight in the long run. :like:

Before you say anything against Chinese LEDs, understand majority of the world's LED chips and headlights come from China. There's a lot of US-based companies who make their LED chips and headlights here in the States, and honestly they cost a crap ton more and they're realistically no better than the stuff made in China. Some people just like to spend more money for the same thing. ?‍♂

If I remember right, I tried to sell you on the Chinese LEDs first.

Just did a bit of research, and though I have no way of fully knowing unless Lasfit admits that this is their manufacturer, this right here is a Chinese manufacturer who produces LED lights very similar to the lasfit designs.

https://www.eklight.com/products/led-headlight-bulb/page/4/

And then for whatever reason, the company has a page dedicated to lasfit products.

https://www.eklight.com/tag/lasfit-led-headlights/#

When you go to last fits website, they don't say anywhere on there that their LED lights or products are specifically manufactured in the United States. It says they have a research and development team in California working on new ideas, but not that they are manufactured here.

https://www.lasfit.com/pages/about-us

So like I'm saying, you can pay 50 bucks for LED headlights or you can pay $10 for LED headlights, but in the end they're both made in the same place.
