My goal with these headlights I just ordered yesterday is that if they work well, and fit within the Wrangler headlight assembly waterproofing cap, then I'll order nine more. At that point I will have about 100 years worth of LED headlights for my EcoDiesel Wrangler. I mean a set of LED headlights will last you about 10 years for the average driver, so 10 sets of lights under $100, for a hundred years worth of H13 LED headlights, can't beat those numbers!
I'll probably create a new thread talking about my super inexpensive LED headlights once I receive them and test them out.
Got it Bro... They are in my shopping cart. So excited... thanks for saving me $1000Hey sis, these were like $55 for the set, again simple installation just make sure they are vertical, that's it. SOOOOOO Bright you won't believe it!

Aftermarket LED Lights
Yes, LED replacements are available via the aftermarket. Installing them is technically modifying your headlights and not allowed by national law through FMVSS. Yes, you only changed the bulb, but the headlamp no longer conforms to factory—i.e. legal—specs.. The reflector and lens of American vehicles' headlights are designed to work with those halogens, which is why using an LED replacement bulb is both illegal and typically results in crappier lighting than the OEM units.
I was going to post Similar info. OEM lights are made and tested in the reflector to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.Specific to headlights, I would advise some caution with using aftermarket LED bulbs with halogen housings. They are not technically legal for on-road use.
Is it enforced? Eh…

Flip, just a heads up that on my side of the mountain people are getting pulled over and ticketed if they have LED bulbs in a halogen housing. The guys that inspected my Jeep told me we have a couple of troopers that are out looking for trucks and Jeeps with LED headlights to see if they just did a bulb swap. They might not be dirty bastards on your side, but they are on mineNot if you don't want too. I swapped out my halogen lights on my 2-door wrangler with Lasfit LED's, I didn't have to make any changes to the computer system, they are plug & play, they are super (insane) bright, at a great price, and they are a forum sponsor. You're welcome, enjoy! ?

BTW & FYI: If you do decide to go with these lights, it's seems counterintuitive but make sure this is vertical when you install them. ?

I would do LED's over halogen in a heartbeat. The light output cannot be matched. Then added with the Baja Squadrons replacing my "fog lights' you can easily light up the planet. This may have been covered before but I couldn't find it under past threads.. I forgot when I ordered my 2023 2-door Wrangler to add the LED package and my dealership said I could add later and they said about $1000 which is less than the price for the order package but still seems high.. I am on a tight budget so not sure if that is what I have to expect and if so I guess I will have to stick with the halogens.. Any insight would help![]()
Yikes,, never thought of that!! ThanksI was going to post Similar info. OEM lights are made and tested in the reflector to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.
Putting an LED bulb in housing intended for halogens will be bright but you’ll likely be blinding oncoming traffic. Is it legal? No. Is it enforced? Not by cops but if you are involved in a head-on collision at night it’s potentially a factor.
You may need to just adjust/tweak your headlights down a tad. I haven't needed to do it yet but there was a recent discussion regarding switching to LED's, lifted vehicles on the road to oncoming lower sedan vehicles. It's very easy.Yikes,, never thought of that!! Thanks
I appreciate the info. Once in awhile on rural roads I get flashed but I haven't been flashed once in town. I may tweak my lights down a tad but not much. When I drive my little sedan I get blinded all the time, I don't even bother flashing anyone anymore, I just take it. ? ?Flip, just a heads up that on my side of the mountain people are getting pulled over and ticketed if they have LED bulbs in a halogen housing. Those look great! If I have any troubles, I would definitely consider those. My lights are DOT approved; I'm also going to double check/adjust my lights to make sure I'm not blinding anyone; I don't expect to have any problems.I did the LED lights then decided to get these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QG7W82B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Stupid easy install and work like a champ.
