Ordered a 2018 UJL with LED headlight package last fall. It arrived with Halogen on the front and LED tail lights. Dealer said I was not charged for the LED headlights and there was nothing I could do about it other than order another vehicle. They also said I could order a set from the factory and install them at the time they became available. That is what I did. When the lights arrived I had the software changed by the dealer to accept the headlights and installed them. The headlights wink intermittently and blink on and off, one side then the other. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Just to clarify, these are the FCA LED headlights.

On a side note, my radio freezes up and they have ordered a new unit. Since the radio is the "brain" for my JLU, is it possible that the issue with the headlights may also come from the radio issues? There were 7 different sensor codes set from the radio.

The dealer has to enable the LED lighting option in the computer. Or you can use something like a Tazer to do it yourself.

The dealer did set the switch in the vehicle computer. Still did not work.

There is a sub forum dedicated to lighting.

You will find that the LED headlights donā€™t work well on halogen keeps. Thereā€™s a wire missing. They were supposed to release a package with a conversion harness but they never did.

If i get a chance i will find a link.

Man we got some softies here. Youā€™re going to change your plan based off of one opinion?
No I am going to mount some good spots on the front soon, keeping the headlights.

Ive seen this several times now, the dealer is not uploading / reflashing the proper code for the lights to work properly. See attached screen shot of dealer software - you need the ā€œLPXā€ code properly flashed

I'm going to verify the Flash Code as per a message further down. I'm also going to wait until the new radio shows up to see if that makes a difference. I will take all the help I can get. This is my 4th Jeep and never had an issue like this.

That's because you didn't have Mopar LED headlights in the past. No aftermarket headlight has this issue on the JL.
