Thats fine if you buy it and have a shop install it. but their 15k package is just absurd.
Yea, just the lift is what I meant...and not through them. The shocks are valved right, and the triple rate springs...this thing rides great. No idea what else is in the package, but this lift should be available to anyone at under $2k installed.

To add more fuel to the fire:

I went online and looked at their 2.5 lift kit, which comes with the over 15k package. The lift kit costs about 1.5k through northridge 4x4. It doesn't even come with new control arms but relocation brackets. What an absolute joke.

OP I don't care if you want your AEV conversion and sorry to kinda hijack your thread. But I feel like I need to post this for other users who are new to this and dont know better.

It is a waste of money. If you are goin with a lift kit to fit 37 inch tires go with Metalcloak or Rock Krawler. Have a shop install it for you and you will have an absolute beast for way less.
Your hyperbolic statements are a bit over the top, don't you think? Why is the AEV 2.5" lift an absolute joke? Because it doesn't come with adjustable control arms but instead has geometry correction brackets? I had this lift on my JK for 5 years and 130k miles. Drove great on road and hit some gnarly trails without any issues. I have it now on my JL and still think it's a great lift and would recommend it for anyone looking for great on road performance and is looking to run mid-level trails.

If you're going to call something a piece of shit, you should probably provide a bit more evidence to back up your claims. You know, for those that are new and don't know better.

I usually stay out of threads like this, but I'm going to chime in, for better or worse.

AEV pricing is what it is. It's been a flash point as far back as TJs. They charge a premium. Some are OK with this, and others aren't. Even through their JK line I thought it was justified, and I really liked the AEV gear I had on a couple of JKs. It's harder for me to justify the additional premium for the JL parts.

All of that said, to say there's not a lot of value in their builds doesn't hold up, especially when compared to retail pricing for their parts. Yes, they don't pay retail. And yes, they keep the take-off parts and make some money up on the back-end. But if you want a Jeep with a full AEV build, their package isn't bad.

Because I'm an engineer...

From their website:

The geometry correction brackets are included in the price of the lift kit. I'm assuming the TPMS is a wash. The CHMSL is included in their tire carrier price. The price carried is from Quadratec for gears is Yukon gears + master overhaul kits. And the price for tires is 37" KM3s from Tire Rack. I added no value to their AEV branding items, and there is zero labor included.

So, you have a one-stop shop. You're offsetting labor costs with them getting the products at cost and any residual value from your take-off parts. But you also don't have to deal with the CraigsList crazies or FB Marketplace people flaking on you when you're trying to sell your take-off parts. All-in-all, you're paying a premium for a premium product, and a high premium at that. But you're getting a lot more than a lift and a few parts for $15.6k for the JK370 pakage.

You need to go to the first post and read what the whole thread is about. The price tag for the kit 1.5k is not the issue. The fact that AEV is charging 15k to install this, tires and 4.56 gears is what I believe is a total rip off. I guess the other stuff is very overpriced (bumpers, tpms???, etc...)

with 15k you can get a lot more on a Jeep.

I am expending way too much energy on this but you are/were talking about the lift specifically in your previous post, were you not? And I know exactly what this thread was originally about.

I'm just taking exception to your exaggerated comments, whether they be about the admittedly expensive package or the lift, specifically.

If you read the rest of my post I then talk about the 15k price tag. Which have also been the critique of all my posts. The fact that the liftkit is only a 1.5k kit lift shows how overpriced the 15k price tag on the conversion is. Charging 15k for a conversion that involves a lift kit that re-uses every oem suspension component other than links, coils, and shocks is overpriced.

The onroad feel of the lift kit itself is subjective. I mean you are basically using all oem suspension components. But using arguably better than stock shocks. I am not saying the lift kit is shit. It is what it is for a 1.5k kit.

First time poster, long time lurker. The thread title caught my attention and having gone through the same decision making process I thought I'd share my experience in hoping it helps you make a decision.

A 2019 JLUR is my only vehicle and a daily driver. Third Jeep overall, first being a '92 YJ. I bought the JLUR with the intent of keeping it 10 years. I have no idea what things will be like a month from now, let alone in another 8 years. For all I know this may be my last Jeep and ICE vehicle. With it being my daily driver, work schedule, and other activities, I knew no matter how much I'd like to do the work myself it would take months to get everything done. I dropped off my Jeep in the AEV lot on a Sunday afternoon and by Friday morning of the same week it was ready for pick-up.

I deliberated on the cost of the AEV package since the time of my Jeep purchase. I waited patiently for parts, reviews, and the contents of the turnkey packages. I finally pulled the trigger this spring and went with the AEV 370. In the six months of ownership so far I have no regrets. There isn't a single time where I've walked away from the Jeep in a parking lot and not turned around to look at it.

It's incredibly expensive for what it is and on top of the cost of the Rubicon itself. If you told me 20 years ago I'd be driving an automatic Jeep, with 4-doors, a minivan engine, and a final price of nearly $75k I would have had a seizure. I didn't think I would like or appreciate some of the cosmetics, but I find myself either not being bothered by them or outright liking them. Everything looks much better in person than in photos. It handled everything I threw at it while at the ORV park and I never once worried about the quality of the work done. If I take a handful of road trips across the country, see things I otherwise wouldn't with the Jeep, and enjoy my drive and time doing it then it will be well worth the cost IMO. I live pretty lean in other areas of my life and eventually I thought, why not, despite the huge price tag. I didn't want to look back in 15 years and wish I would have drove the Jeep I wanted when I had the chance.

I can attach interior/exterior pictures of the 370 build if you're interested. Good luck on whatever you decide.
I would love to see some pics if you don't mind.

Exactly.

Some people are willing to pay extra for a finished product. They don't plan to do additional modifications. If they have an issue they go back to a single place where both the stock components and the modified components can be serviced.

They are paying extra for the convenience.

Your definition of "every" and "all" are vastly different from mine. And I'll leave it at that.

If you believe spending 15k on that package is worth it. Well.... I seriously don't want AEV fanboys to feel bad. It is a rip off. period.

And the liftkit is pretty basic. Even the MOPAR lift kit includes longer LCAs, and it is not considered a complete lift kit. But again, I do not think it is overpriced. And I've heard good things about their springs. I am pretty sure they use good shocks too. The 1.5k price tag isn't outrageous.

Sort of surprising you are on this forum for years and not aware of them.
The brand looks familiar, but I don't have any direct knowledge of their stuff or work.???
