I'm going to try another bypass/delete option for the Aux battery that I found on another forum. In this case, you remove the Aux battery, connect it's Pos cable to the main and just tape up the Aux Neg cable. I'll also replace the F42 fuse as removing this wasn't mentioned in that option. We'll see! Either that or I get a new Aux battery.
This right here is the best way,Get you a good agm battery remove aux and run like all the vehicles in the world with one battery.Of course you still have to stop the auto stop thing but at least the aux is something youll never have to worry about again.

Suggest you go with the SmartStopStart unit offered by forum sponsor @SmartStopStart.com . 1st to market ... long before any of the knockoffs....

Physical footprint of the SmartStopStart unit smaller then the knockoffs.
Jeep Wrangler JL Jumperless Aux Battery Bypass smartstopstart

The SmartStopStart unit never hiccups,... you see internet posts... FB, etc., where people complain that the knock off offering they purchased hiccups on occasion.

I might mention that the resale value of the SmartStopStart unit is very good... unlike the knockoffs.

I can attest as a very satisfied SmartStopStart user that the SmartStopStart unit works flawlessly.
Most forum member's that purchased such an offering went with the SmartStopStart offering and are very glad they did so.

Message Steve at @SmartStopStart.com and he will sell you his offering for $100 (Retails for $129) since you are a forum member. Terrific price for a terrific offering!

Is there a reason you don't mention the Tazer in that sales pitch? It's obviously more expensive, but it does significantly more.

Throwing it out there, the Livernois tune disables it by default, provided you have a 3.6 with the GPEC2A PCM, pre July 2021, that supports tuning.

Yeah I looked into tuning and there’s nothing for the 23 2.0’s, with the exception of maybe some in-line crap

I thought about a tazer but honestly I don’t know what I’d do with it the only reason I’d want to get into the ecm/tcm would be for custom tuning and from what I hear that’s not possible with the 23 2.0’s

@Ratbert

The forum member asked specifically about a "start/stop eliminator".

He was given info on the best one out there .

By the way... did you know that SmartStopStart had their offering out before ZAutomotive figured out how to get/have the original Tazer JL deal with ESS. Yup.

It's better at it than the Tazer? I understand that it's cheaper and simpler. Maybe that means better even though it lacks a crapload of functionality.

@Ratbert

The Tazer JL is a terrific adjunct, but I do not willy-nilly recommend installing one. Truth of the matter most JL/JT owner's are undoubtedly best, not installing a Tazer JL.

-Many here installed a Tazer JL... they used it for awhile and then they ran from it/they sold it..
They did not want the headaches...they did not want the responsibility.. They did not want marry and unmarry and more.

@Cux211 inquired about a "start/stop eliminator" and what one most everyone is using in regard to same..... I gave him an answer. I use a SmartStopStart as many here do .... and I as other's do, highly recommend it.

In closing, I am very pro, the Tazer JL, I am very knowledgeable it regard to the Tazer JL..... but....

I finally decided to eliminate my small battery. I disconnected the small wire for the neg. Ground at the main battery. I then went looking for the f42 fuse, and there is not one. How was my Jeep electrical working up to this point? Can someone explain this to me?
I measured battery voltage, small battery is 10.1v large battery is 13.2v after disconnected.

By not removing the fuse before you removed the battery cable, you triggered the fault. Now you'll have to disconnect the battery for a bit and let the computer forget.

Thank you. I was just going to say that is what I just did. Everything works as it should now.
I remember disconnecting the neg once before to reset things.

Replacing my main battery today. Bypassing aux.

I have a 2020 JLUR 2.0

I was jumping it off every crank but now it won’t even do that. Went and pulled the f42 fuse and removed the cable I thought was the aux battery cable. The one with the smaller terminal connector. Things went nutty. Assuming maybe the main just has such a low charge that it is causing the glitches? My wipers started going, emergencies flashing, fuse box sounding like a typewriter clicking lol.

Read somewhere and can’t find now that they changed the cable ends at some point? That the larger terminal end is the end of the aux negative cable.

?

thanks!
