Talked to my dealer yesterday. Said the Jeep was unloaded from the rail car over the weekend, but won't get on a truck until Saturday -- a full 10 days after it arrived to the rail yard. WTF? So he said he could send a couple guys up to the rail yard, and have one of them drive it 80 miles back down to the dealership. So I'm stuck between 2 bad choices: wait or have someone else put miles on my car.

I want it now, so I said 'Fine, drive it down. Be careful, and don't go too fast on the new engine.' Hopefully I don't come to regret this decision. Now they're trying to find a time for someone to go get it... DUDE. Send someone up there to get my GD Jeep. It's not hard. Do you want to sell it, or not? I'm SO SICK of waiting, especially when it's so close. About to lose my cool, guys.

Congrats! I've had absolutely no luck contacting FCA Chat, every time they end up telling me it's a Canadian order and they can't help.

Gee, its none of my business and I’m itchin like hell for mine but buddy I would wait the extra days. I’ll tell ya why. You just spent a lot of money on a “NEW” Jeep and your’e basically taking something that some kid already drove 80 miles? The old saying goes the minute you drive off that lot your car depreciates. Your car is being driven and not even by you! Look back in this room at R-d’s Post, he was smart enough to take a picture of his odometer at 2 miles. If you go this route you’ll never ever see your own baby in single digits. Whichever way you go I respect but you waited this long.!

I get it man, and I agree. And under normal circumstances, I would just wait the few extra days. But for me, starting next week, things are about to pop off. Work is about to get crazy and my daughter is having a major surgery. If for some reason it's not ready on Saturday, I can't go pick it up until like 2 weeks later.

Ok buddy, first and foremost I wish your daughter a speedy recovery and yes that comes first. One question, 80 miles is not really that far maybe 90 minutes is there any way you could do the paperwork and go with the dealers guy and drive your own car? Again good luck with your daughter.

That's actually a really good idea. I'm not sure what sorts of things they need to do to make it ready for hand-over once they get it, and if they still want to do that if we went this route. But I'll suggest that idea.

So the dealer called me to tell me it's loaded on the truck already, and will be down to the dealer no later than tomorrow. I get my car soon, and it won't have other peoples' miles on it!

And thanks so much for the well-wishes for my daughter!

Yes my friend this is awesome news, now YOU put the first miles on it and take her on its maiden voyage. (I don’t count the test miles at the factory). You’ve got a lot on your plate but if you get a couple of minutes throw up a pic or 2. Best of luck!!

Just got word I'm in KZ! How long from KZ to dealership? It went into KZ this am.

Thank you all for helping me through this journey, this forum has been the best thing I found for my JL.

That varies a lot depending on your distance from Toledo and the volume your dealership does. I'm only 4 hours away from Toledo and my dealer is the highest volume dealership in KY, so my jeep hopped on a truck and was there one day after hitting KZ status. People out west wait up to a month, and it looks like the northeast is typically 1-2 weeks. Your best bet for updates is to bug the crap out of your sales guy, because they apparently have access to the rail/truck tracking system that the Jeep Chat people do not have. Congratulations on your jeep, hope you don't have to wait long! :)
