2. Windows up is awful. I haven’t tried windows down.
3. It’s worse for me after it rains (when the fabric is heavier).
4. The rear window is WAY too loose. It was ok until it stretched. Now it’s abysmal.

Edit to add: cross winds seem to make it worse as well. It’s like wind gets underneath the the top and causes it to flap even more.

Just contacted @BestopTeam again and they are sending a new window and top. Doesn’t instill confidence that there are still issues with the replacement parts but at least they are working with us.

I have already received a new top and back window as well as a new larger seal for the back as well as a left window. They are sending me another back window because the new and improved one I received was damaged along with a new bar for the bottom of the rear window.
Basically I will have 2 tops, 3 rear windows, 2 left windows, 2 tailgate bars, 2 tailgate seals..one jeep.
Putting the doors and top back the other night after a few adult beverages I realized that taking the hard top on and off wasnt much different than dealing with this mess, really considering selling the trextop and sticking with only a hard top.

We get flapping too in many different scenarios/conditions, in addition to the replaced tail bar seals. For $1200, it’s a bit disappointing. Wish Bestop would’ve done more R&D, rather than rush to market. Hope there’s a fix at some point for this stuff.

Based on all the looking I did, there is no alternative right now.
I will say, I realized the other day that its just as easy to R&R the hard top, the real issue is if you are out and it starts to rain.
I removed the TT today and put the hardtop on for a road trip to Florida, I needed to be able to know if I went someplace my stuff was a bit more secure than with the soft top. I will most likely remove it when I get to my destination.

the hotter the day the worse it is,
the additional velcro did not improve it much,
looks to me like the back window need to be a bit shorter and a bit narrower, I don't think the stretch factor was considered.

I’m glad this post exists. Your experiences should keep @BestopTeam honest. This isn’t acceptable and people shouldn’t spend a single cent on them. Force them back to quality.

So the other day I pulled into a car wash bay. My son stayed in the back seat waiting while I sprayed some mud off the Jeep. I was using the spray wand. As I made my way around the rear of the Jeep, my son jumped out and said "Stop! You're soaking me!" LOL there was water all over the rear of the Jeep. I blame the crappy seal of the tailgate bar for this also.

Seems like the only part of this top that really needs some work is that rear section. That's where all the water intrusion and wind flapping happens, when it happens.

Overall I still love the top, but I'm just not a fan of the fastback look. I can't wait until summer so I can take the windows out and leave them at home.

I’m having that issue as of last week, I noticed the trim started giving way. I try to re-stick it each time I open tailgate but it just falls off again. I have to jump in back seat to restick. I’ve contacted them about that and the crazy flapping of back window. Both issues have been quite a nuisance, other than that I really love the TrekTop.

They’ll replace that piece with a new seal. I had the same issue. Within a few days of calling I had a new one and it has been perfect since.
