No problem. I totally forgot about the controller portion lol. The lights are wired to that and thatās wired to the switch bank that I had factory installed. Super easy to do. But yea whatever your needs, Iām sure itāll be fine and come out awesome. Iāll see if I can post some pics this weekend...
I have the color changing halo portion of the fog lights wired to the factory switches and have them as latching so they turn on with the jeep each time. Once programmed with the app they seem to keep the memory each time. The actual fog lights plug into the existing harness and work with the...
Itās an idea. But that comes with losing space in the cargo area which I desperately need lol. I know Iām being quite particular but if Iām doing this I want it done right. Iām actually gonna be going to ocean city Jeep week next weekend to see some options too š
Yea I like how the stealthbox is secured but not for 950 a piece. I feel like Iām overthinking it at this point. I just havenāt seen videos of people putting subs in soft tops. Or at least havenāt found any yet. One guy bolted it down to the floor of the cargo space just out of the way of the...
Recently been really thinking about adding that missing bass sound from the stock radio. I currently have a 2021 JLU sport with the 7ā head unit. Stock speakers etc. Iāve been looking at my options. I have a soft top that I donāt leave down or off very frequently. Maybe a drive or 2 on the...
My opinion, it works fine for the winter. I live in New York and decided this year I wanted be lazy and leave my trek top on cuz I like the fast back look more than the boxy hard top and I didnāt wanna do the work again to put it back on. Since we hadnāt had much snow I thought it would be a...
Thatās what I ended up doing. Itās also great because instead of having to turn the lights to the right setting, the systems remembers and they just turn on whenever I put the ignition on. Them and the rock lights are always on and I love it.
Yea theyāre oracle. These are the ones I got. I did have to get a Bluetooth controller to control them from my phone. The happy lighting app is a life saver and works sooo much better than any of the other apps Iāve tried.
I saw a video of a guy who was able to fold up the 4 door trektop under the sun rider. Took out the windows and disconnected the back cloth from the frame and it was nicely folded under. Canāt say the same for the 2 door since the plastic rail for the windows are longer and impossible to bend...
Wow thatās intense. I did get it off today. I bought a new ratchet. Turns out the auto zone quality one I was using just wasnāt up for the task. Got a longer one with an extension bar and it took very little effort compared to yesterday to get it off.
Thatās crazy tho with your Jeep. Aside from...
yes I have the right socket. I just realized I posted this in the 2.0 engine thread. Mines a 3.6 but same idea. 13mm socket, not a crescent wrench.
I believe my problem may be in the length of the ratchet. Itās not long. I was looking for a pipe or something metal to use as a sleeve to give it...
This may seem like a dumb question but hear me out..... doing MY first oil change on the JL. Had dealer do the first couple that were free. Now I gotta pay so I wanna do it myself. Got everything I needed and first thing, I canāt get the damn drain plug out. I think someone may have over torqued...
I donāt have the oculus headlights but I do have the high performance 20w fog lights for the JL. They fit perfectly in the aftermarket bumper I have and love the effects.
Update:
I did connect the blue tooth controllers to aux 1 and set it to ārecall lastā and ignition. Now when I turn the Jeep on aux 1 automatically comes on and remembers the last setting I had them to from my phone. As long as I have my phone in the car I believe theyāll just turn on.
I am going to try this weekend if I have the time. I have things connected to the 2 lower amp wires already. As long as i can use the higher amp wires without causing harm to anything I should be good. Or maybe Iāll just connect it to the ignition accessory wire thatās there that way it only...
I have a general question about the install of these controllers. I have mine installed to the battery. I sometimes forget to turn them off and have to run out to turn em off. Is there a way to wire them to one of the aux switches so that when the ignition turns off the controllers turn off and...
