Found this photo of a 91 Sahara online…

I’m fairly certain this Sahara color combo was still available in 91. That’s one of my favorite years because it was the first year of the 4.0 and it still had the older style cage. In 92 the Sahara color was changed to a darker green or light sand color.

I just had my 2.0 replaced at 29k miles. Hoping we just have terrible luck and got a bad one.

Picked up my Jeep today. They found excessive wear on cylinder walls. 1 new engine later and she’s good as new. Hopefully it was just bad luck and this new power plant has a long and happy life.

The 2.0 is a loud engine, especially on cold start but if you notice it getting louder please take it in because it’s not always normal. Another minor detail to consider is they changed the tabs somewhere between 2018 and 2021. On older soft tops, the tabs that tuck into channel are black and newer have green tabs. Green tabs are ideal bc they're slightly thicker material, keeping rear tabs from coming loose while driving. When...
