Those two posts immediately above give a great opportunity to compare white jeeps with color matched fenders

black rims vs gold rims

black grill vs color matched grill

black convertible top vs color matched top.

What did all of you guys do to reinforce your tailgate hinge?
I'm rocking the Teraflex reinforcement and spare mount, both great products and relatively easy to install. I do not like the license plate relocation part though, the clips are hard if you have big hands and it is annoying to pull off/on for doing anything with the spare. I rarely have to do anything with the spare but it is annoying when I do. I am thinking of switching to the AEV bumper and putting the plate back down there.

Anybody have 17x8.5” with XR flares and a 35 or 37x12.5” or 315/70 tire on a Rubicon? I’m debating the 25mm vs 0 offset, but can’t have poke beyond the fender (added XR extensions). I looked through the thread and didn’t see any examples. Math says it will be close, but I’m curious to see how it works out. 0 offset sounds more useful if I lift in the future, but 25mm keeps the scrub radius down and will definitely not extend past the XR fender extensions.

I will have that in 7 days.

Hi, sorry for replying on a really old post. I picked up a 21' JLUR last year and just working on upgrades. Are these tires 35 or 37s? And did you re-gear? Or just deal with the sluggish response from the larger tires? Thanks!

Hi, how is the rub, or how was it when you put these on with the 35s? And what offset and backspace did you pick? I love the look and have a 21' in billet silver as well. I am bought it a year ago and I am ready to start doing upgrades, but it's a daily driver as well so for now I am balancing daily driving and lighter trails on the weekends. Thanks!

This picture is prior to adding Mopar 2" lift, and I never went offroad really during the week or so it was like this. I think it might have rubbed slightly if on extreme terrain, but with the 2" lift I have now, I have never rubbed any in the years since.

Method 701 matte black 17x 8.5, 4.75” backspace, Offset = 0

This set up has worked well for me as my daily driver.

Gents just got my method wheels/tires this week, and I am anxious to get them fitted, however they came with standard hex lug nuts. Can anyone suggest a good locking lug nut that fits these wheels, or are most using the splined type Gorilla lugs, and leaving it at that ?
Thanks in advance for all replies

I bought my lug nuts direct from Method and they are the spline type, but I do not remember the brand. I had Gorilla in the past and they were fine, but the finish on whatever I got from Method seems to be holding up better.
