The “check your fuses” item on the checklist is great advice. I picked up my 23 Willys yesterday and 90% of the fuses/firmly “clicked” when I pushed on them. Not sure it really matters, but, I also don’t think it hurts to ensure each fuse and relay is seated firmly.

Check your fuses people!

I'm learning more every time I get on this JL Forum. Thanks! I'll probably print this list before my JLU arrives (is on order).

Thank you. I certainly check for the items coming with the two package. Copy and pasted into my Jeep pick up notes

This.

I had the same exact experience when I picked up my new JL at the dealership in 2021, and it's clearly still happening today, even though it is a well-known issue. You'd think that dealerships would be addressing this by now as part of their delivery inspection, but I guess we just have to chalk it up as another frustrating "Jeep thing." After 30+ years of Jeep ownership, this phrase/concept is more annoying than ever, and yet we Jeepers still live with it.

So....if there was only one thing you checked before hopping in your new JL and leaving the dealership, it would be this. And it can matter, as there have been many cases of component failures due to a loose fuse. While the majority of these may not pose a safety issue, it is conceivable that some might, especially when speeding down the freeway with other traffic.

Check them six months later. They'll be loose again.

Very true. I have a habit of checking them every time I check fluids, and I'm pretty sure that some loosen up well before six months.

I picked up my new JLU today. Before leaving the dealership, my salesman and I popped the hood, took the cover off the fuses and relays, and I pushed down on every single one. Heard and felt more than just one go "click" when I pushed down on it. The salesman was kinda surprised.

So is anyone recently getting the MOPAR JACK SPACER with the XR package? My Jeep didn't have the spacer and the dealer said none of the Jeeps are coming with it. It is last mentioned in this thread a year ago. The owner's manual still mentions the spacer. Also, the rear storage compartment didn't have a rubber mat and the dealer said they don't come with that either.

There are only 14 Cargo Compartment Floor Mats on build sheets, so if that's what you're referring to then they're not bullshitting you there.

The MOPAR Jack Spacer, however, could be a different story. Did they give you a credit for it?

Instances of MOPAR Jack Spacer over time:
Thanks, I didn't think of checking my build sheet downloaded from the Jeep site. The storage area I was referring to is called, REAR COMPARTMENT STORAGE TRAY on the build sheet. The checklist reference I saw in this thread is "Rear Cargo cubby rubber mat (on 4 door)". There is nothing like that on my build sheet.

The MOPAR Jack Spacer is listed on my build sheet. As of now, they are saying they will see if it is something they can order. If not, I guess I'll ask for the credit. Maybe they're saying nobody else is getting the spacer, because those folks don't have the XR package?

Something I didn't mention is that they didn't give me the Mopar All Weather Mats (also on my build sheet), and now they say they are on backorder.

Well, the dealer isn't really trying to get this for me. They just told me again that none of their XR jeeps are coming with the jack spacer. I will probably try calling Jeep directly to see what they can do.

I picked up my XR yesterday and the jack spacer was included.
