JL Bikini Tops?

I was going to order one but then saw that they DOUBLED the price from the JK? WTF? It's a piece of netting and does not warrant a $200 price tag. I'll wait for Smittybilt or someone else to release one for $75...

Mopar has one for 75.00, but guess what it' not available yet.

One guy had a free solution if you have a hard top. Simply install the freedom panels back on the jeep. It's the perfect "bikini" top for the front passengers and actually looks pretty cool with the top and doors off.

I was wondering about this? Would this work OK? I have mine with me in case it rains, I have my new sunshade on for now.

Yea, they fit fine and won't go anywhere, but I think the same guy also mentioned that people tried to tamper with them overnight. Same thing can happen with any top, of course, but I'd wager those freedom panels are more expensive than some cloth.

Has anyone heard anything yet regarding bikini tops for the JLU? I was hoping something would be available prior to the summer! I would love to pop off my hard top and not worry about rain.

Not sure you need a bikini top with the JL. Once the windows are out, the "safari" configuration is essentially a bikini top - not exactly the same of course, but close.

That's true for someone with a Soft Top but a bikini would still be useful to someone that's taken their hard top off.

It is if you have the soft top, which is not avaiable right now.

Same here... Desperately waiting on someone, anyone, to make an extended bikini top for the JL. Can't believe how these aftermarket manufacturers dropped the ball on the JL..

Well, I live in Alabama and 9 out of 10 people here (my made up statistic) have a hard top on their Jeep. I just don't understand it really. Don't get me wrong, I do understand the benefits to a hard top in the winter.

Yep. In TX, Everyone but me has a hard top. Personally, I would hate a hard top. I would have bought a Cherokee, if I wanted a hard top that I rarely, like my neighbor, took off, Oh well, they also have 40s and never go off road.

I love having the freedom panels off my Sahara but to dam hot here in Houston right now
