@BoundaryGroomer and @Onward4x4!! You both are gonna be noodle whipped for resurrecting this thread that many of us has been TRYING to make it go away since the day that doofus with his red Sahara Jeep started it!!!

So if you see some movement on your peripheral vision, just KNOW that you are not being paranoid! We are coming for you!!!

This thread is like the commercial above. It's a brand new day or not! Pah!!!

Let's see how long we can keep this going for. For my part of the snobbery, I don't wave at any JLs that don't have at least A/T tires.

for me it’s about being smart with my money and not overbuying

I'm also a believer in buying the platform and building it up...personal choice.

It's a difference in philosophy about what you want and how you place value on your time. It changed over the years for me. When I was young, I was financially limited and more inclined to put my time/labor in the "low cost" category. I bought cheap and modified to what I wanted. Now in my mid 60s and with with significant financial resources, I find I spend more to get closer to what I want. My time is now of a higher value as to how I want to spend it.

Excellent philosophy!

OK, I'm in for the longevity of nonsense.

I'll up the ante and say I won't wave unless you have M/T tires 35 or larger!

Unless you have a Rubicon, you're always going to be in the same category as a Jeep Liberty and Compass. I don't wave at that community.
You want respect? Get a respectable vehicle or just take what you deserve.

j/k. 😁

Wait, you mean I'm not supposed to wave at people who don't have a Sarge Green 2 door Rubicon?!? Crap.

It will not end well as i've had discussions with concerned family members already. To have this discussion we must first go fishing and hike a peak or two, by then they see things my way.
Sounds like you need to move up here to central Pa., less time driving more time fishing. You can't drive a mile down the road without passing a creek, river, run, or stream. Little dirt road driving in the jeep and a few mile hike while fly fishing for native brook and wild brown trout.

You are assuming that anything on this forum actually “contributes” to anything.

Well, besides the Bronco threads, of course. Those are pure contribution.

I guess I've reached the age where I couldn't care less what people think as far as my personal decisions.I ordered what I was willing to pay for. It's my third and last two door Wrangler and will be used for basic transportation.Other than the occasional snow or ice it will seldom if ever see 4-wheel drive. I love being the old man ...driving the old man Jeep.
