What’s the chances of a Jeep redesign coming soon? New management might want to put their stamp on a new Jeep look.

It's coming in 2028. Internal code is J70. It takes a long time to do the Wrangler. It's already been under development for a handful of years, with probably the last few touches going into it now with the rest of the time being for testing.

it needs IFS, IRS, and amsoil.

Seriously, hope they get it all right. The new Bronco took about 3-5 years longer than they wanted because the design did not meet reality of manufacture and it was developing serious cracking in body/frame.

They were working on the J70 when the JL came out in 2018. Takes years of engineers and designers to agree on stuff. Then building one, and testing over all forms of conditions. Then changing stuff and testing again till they finally have a somewhat working version. It takes a long to time to bring a vehicle to market.

If the top and doors don't come off it is not a real Jeep...

This is probably old news:

Codenamed J70, the most technologically advanced Wrangler of them all is getting BEV and REPB versions. BEV stands for battery electric vehicle, whereas REPB is the pompous way of saying that a combustion engine will be used as a generator. The Range Electric Paradigm Breaker powertrain will debut in the Ram 1500 in the near future, joining the 2025 Ram 1500 REV battery electric truck on the STLA Frame body-on-frame architecture.

With the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 expected to be dropped in 2028, the most likely candidate for a combustion-engined Wrangler comes in the form of the 2.0-liter Hurricane I4. It would be only natural for the folks at FCA US LLC to sweeten the deal with the 3.0-liter Hurricane I6, a twin-turbo sixer that powers – believe it or not – the 2025 model year Ram 1500 TRX. Clearly not as exciting as the 6.2-liter Hellcat V8, said engine makes 510 horsepower and 500 pound-feet (678 Nm) in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
