You're not required to arbitrate. They suggest that you are.. but you are not. The arbitrator is not neutral considering how much business they get from Stellantis. Its the same for all manufacturers.
Are you saying that I could lose the arbitration even with a winning case because the third party is actually in the pockets of Stellantis?

Return to Sender? Something is wrong - you may have an incorrect address. If you haven't already, read your manual or look through FCA/Stellantis documentation online how/where to initiate the lemon law buyback process. It's possible they may have changed their process since materials you have were printed, they could be outsourcing their lemon claims to a third party.
That struck me as odd as well. Jeep may not be playing ball, but I doubt that they are refusing your mail.

I have reached out to Hawaii department of commerce and consumer affairs and they had an updated address. You are absolutely correct, my lease contract had an old address. New letter has been mailed!

Yeah I was pretty upset because the address was exactly what they gave me in my notice of consumer rights under Hawaii’s lemon law in my contract. I got in touch with the department of commerce and received an updated address to send to. I’ll keep yall posted if you’re interested.

YES that's what I'm saying! Think about it, would the BBB that handles the arbitrations keep getting that business if it routinely tells Stellantis to buyback cars?

Yeah I’m definitely skeptical! I’m hoping that going through the state or HI rather than using the “free” arbitrator that mopar recommends will eliminate some of that doubt. For now I am just waiting on a decision from them to repurchase before needing to take to arbitration.

The process went pretty smooth for me and working with the case managers no lawyers involved. As long as your case is clear cut and falls under the criteria of lemon law which yours does you shouldn’t come across issues. Now that you’ve figured the issue as to why everything was at a stand still things should start to move with your case manager.
First thing they’ll do is contact the dealership for all service records and information on the warranty it’s there for. They’ll pass that to their lemon law team to look over. Once approved they’ll pass you over to their reacquisition team and a new case #. If you plan on staying with the brand you can ask your second case manager in helping you getting an incentive on getting another Jeep.

I appreciate you taking the time to type that out for me! Definitely gives me a little relief knowing the process worked for someone else. They are already in contact with the service department as well so hopefully a decision is made relatively soon.

I appreciate it! I received a call from my case managers supervisor today. They are still considering the buy-back preemptively before it has to go to lemon law so I guess I will wait on that, if they don’t repurchase and I need some legal assistance I will be reaching out! I saved your website URL. Which office should I call if need be?

The BBB arbitrators are not paid by Stellantis. Funds for the process come from a pool paid into by all of the mfr's. In my experience running customer service operations for a Jeep competitor the arbitrators were generally fair and the process orderly and timely. The difference for us was we tried to resolve matters far before they would ever result in arbitration or litigation. It was most important to retain the customer than it was to save a few bucks and treat them like they were suckers for buying our product. Stellantis does not seem to subscribe to our philosophy.
