I just put a 3.5 inch lift on my Jeep with 37's and was told my scissor jack will not work to change a tire. I was wondering if there was a good jack to purchase on Amazon or something with a carrying case I could store in the Jeep that someone could recommend. My installer told me to try Harbor Freight but I didn't see anything that would work. Anyone with experience with this?

Thanks
Chris

The AEV version has a neat $20 accessory (sold separately) that allows you to strap it in the passenger footwell above and forward of the passenger's feet. It takes a bulky bit of necessary gear and stores it very efficiently. Here is a link to another thread discussing it.

Just put an 8" 4x4 in with your jack and you will be all good.

Just back from Moab/CO trip and had to use the Bottle Jack to swap out a sidewall plugged tire. The plug got us to safety believe it or not! This was up at Lake Como. They come in different heights. You can also get an axel attachment if desired. It was high enough for my friends JP but I do carry a few pieces of "rubber horse mat" and plywood cut into 10" squares if needed to add lift. They can be squirreled into all sorts of empty spots when packing. At the :56 mark, you can see me w/ the jack.

Looks like a City work or county work crew. One working and 5 watching. 😎. Could not see the actual tire change.

Tire change would have been boring to watch. Just proof of the sidewall and the bottle jack at end.

Instead of the AEV overpriced piece of plastic and a sketchy scissor jack look into something like the safe jack

Yeah, I’m not gonna be laying under my rig pumping up a bottle jack one inch pump at a time…lol… I got a hi lift jack base for 23.00 bucks, my oem scissor jack and my Mac daddy impact…I can raise my rig in a matter of seconds, have the tire changed, flat tire back on the tailgate while the poor bastard is still laying under there pumping his jack…🤣

Thats the nice thing with the extensions with it the jack is ready to start lifting almost immediately as well as being further per pump than cheap chinese jacks. Ive seen too many scissor jacks fold up like a cheap lawn chair to trust any sort of off road repairs.
