Jeep Could Really Learn Something from Slate

It was right there at the overlap when I start thinking about it (and that was before I experienced it). And out of the two I want nothing to do with e torque... we had nightmares with them. And again there was a few time I could get an automatic with V6 without etorque, I just missed it.

Can't get a 392 in a jeep. I don't need it, don't really want it. I'm satisfied with how the V6 performs. Would I buy it if it was available... idk

Even if the 5.7 was available, I would rather that over the 392. But they are both more then I need. Then how much would the dealers be charging extra and above for it. Paying more then sticker is just silly!

Am I going to keep hanging around, probably not. If nothing to my liking comes from this 12 four 12. I'll be content with what I have.
There will be no Vega engines in my jeep.

So you only want a 3.6 with out e-torque and without start/stop? It doesn’t exist.
Also, took me less than 1 minute to find a new 2 door 3.6 without e-torque on a dealer lot.

Yea I found several 2019s and 2024s 2dr V6 Autos without e-torque. Thought I found a 2022, but it was e-torque

Why would you think you'd have to pay above sticker???

Have you seen the deals offered by the dealerships in my spreadsheet? It's been there for three of the five years you've been looking.

Another vaporware vehicle. But it was a cool idea!

A valuable link for sure.

But, there is still no way to generate the specific configuration from the Jeep website like there is in all the European companies for example. So you have to basically tell them somehow the options you want, they need to input it in the decrepit 1970s style computer program, then send it back to you, then you need to review for accuracy, make sure neither of you made any mistakes with the archaic 3 letter codes from the 1960s.

Then you have to repeat that process for all the dealers in that database to determine the best deal.

I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

……this sounds like a skill issue. Maybe watch a YouTube video on how to use the jeep website? If you can manage to work YouTube without “being forced” to watch a bunch of ads from the sidebar because that’s what they want you to do that is.

Unfortunately I do watch to much YouTube, but I don't know what version you watch I don't get adds.

I didn't mind this part, I wanted it right and going to the dealer to double check everything was ok with me. My dealer was ten minutes away.
Go on Rivian or Tesla forums and see how wonderful their dealership experience are.....

So, did you and the dealer get all those 1960s 3 letter codes correct? Did you get a quote from a few other dealers, or just went with the neighborhood dealer because it is just too much work to be driving around to all of them to repeat the process?

We are not in the 1970s anymore. All information should be available online, in a user friendly format. I have bought real estate and planes without leaving my couch. But a Jeep, oh no, you have to sit in that tiny desk at the dealership looking at their green screen. No, thanks.

Its a stick, I don't want the start stop but I'm stuck with the lawnmower battery option.
No more black cars for me, they look great when clean but man are they HOT!

Edit; I would accept the lawnmower battery option but that's rarely available with the V6 & auto.

Maybe I'm not willing to settle or get pushed into something I really don't want. Its my cash and not a cheap purchase.

I did some homework and feel I got a fair price but I'm not the type to fly around the country trying to save a buck..not my thing.
Again the dealer was ten minutes from my house, I'm retired and I got what I wanted, when I wanted. They told me two months and it was actually six weeks, the Jeep has been good to me and no major complaints from my dealer experience when I've brought it in for oil changes and scheduled service. I felt the experience was fine, I've had more issues buying lawn tools from Amazon.
