Already a loss for me. I want to do it in my couch, comfortably comparing options, seeing what in stock vehicles match that config, sending it to multiple dealers to provide a quote, etc.

in 2026, having to leave your house, to sit in a decrepit Jeep dealership, dealing with a poorly trained comissiones sales person, to sit in front of his computer, inputting order codes in a 1970s IBM mainframe style program is exhibit one of how messed up the experience is.

Have you ordered a Rivian, or Tesla. You can do it from your phone, while doing bathroom activities or at the beach or whatever.

Boy do I have a link for you

Been trying to buy a jeep for 5 years, its hopeless.
Hundreds of thousands of other people have somehow managed to buy Jeeps during those five years. Have you ever considered that Jeep might not be the problem?

I mean anyone who’s bragging about how well they’re doing on the market could just tell their butler to handle it, and…boom…Jeep is delivered!

You're soooo confused. @OSCAR II has been trying to buy a Jeep for five, that's right, five friggin years. There is no hope. It's impossible.

Its true and why I joined this forum. I believe there was 2 times for about 6 weeks each that I could have had what I wanted. But I had spent to many months and to much time looking I had to walk away. When I found out and tried to buy they were done.

Its my money, I'm going to build it the way I want. Not interested in what they want me to lease.

Been trying to buy a jeep for 5 years, its hopeless.
And the website just wants to lease station wagons with snorkels.
This old man breezed thru the Wrangler build page back in 2021 and when I had it configured the way I wanted went to my local dealer and he ordered it as I had chosen and we went over the options so no mistakes were made. Six weeks later I got the call that my Jeep had arrived at the dealer.

Tell your butler to try harder. As rich as you say you are, you can’t be bothered by these mundane details. He’s just making excuses at this point.
You sound jealous,
Never said I was rich or said I had a butler (I don't) I just made the funds available and they weren't doing anything. So I put it to work and did .... well! 😀

I know what I want to buy not interested in what they want me to lease.

Same, I had a deposit on a Tacoma at the Toyota dealer across the street from the CJDR dealer. That was a nightmare, I knew what I wanted and what I didnt, they didnt want to not put on the addendum garbage and after an hour of arguing I got to 98% of what I wanted out of the Taco.

Dad talked me into test driving a Wrangler cause being a CJDR tech for a few years I swore to never own a chrysler product and after driving one I was impressed with the changes from the late 90s/early 00s. Other than the fact they still use the same steering wheel radio controls that is.

Walked into the CJDR dealer and transferred my deposit same day and had the Jeep within 2 months with 0 addendum bullshit.
I helped my Dad fix Chryslers back in the 80's, and I swore I would never own one. Yet here I am.
Both Jeeps I got what I wanted. The first was a no frills Rubicon in the color I wanted on the lot. The second was a used XR in the spec I wanted also sitting on the lot. Would love to order new, but took advantage of deals already built.
Wanted a couple Toyota/Honda cars, but as others said, you get whatever is coming on the transporter. More often than not, they are already sold or marked up so high I lost interest.
Edit- I like the Slate, but only at $20k. Beyond that, the appeal drops.

I didn't mind this part, I wanted it right and going to the dealer to double check everything was ok with me. My dealer was ten minutes away.
Go on Rivian or Tesla forums and see how wonderful their dealership experience are.....😰

Is the fact that they wanted you to do a lease relevant at all to why you've been trying to buy a Jeep for five years and keep failing? Just trying to figure out why you keep mentioning it. It seems to be as relevant as the type of coffee they had.

Pay me 5k in unmarked small bills and a order sheet and I will order the Jeep of your dreams for you.🤓
