Maybe I'm not willing to settle or get pushed into something I really don't want. Its my cash and not a cheap purchase.
I can’t understand how you haven’t found what you want. Again, it took less than 2 minutes this time to find 17k+ jeeps nationwide that are the 3.6, auto, non e-torque, not black. It’s really simple. JL’s without start/stop basically don’t exist so just give up on that. If that’s a non negotiable, find a different vehicle. Complaining about it for the past 5 years hasn’t made it an option yet, it’s not going to.

Its a stick, I don't want the start stop but I'm stuck with the lawnmower battery option.
No more black cars for me, they look great when clean but man are they HOT!

Edit; I would accept the lawnmower battery option but that's rarely available with the V6 & auto.
You said earlier that you didn't want eTorque. Now you're complaining about the aux battery? Those are the two options with the 3.6L v6.

Note that using derogatory slang for everything you DON'T want just muddies the waters. Try, instead, to say what you DO want. Saying bizarre crap like you don't want a Vega engine can easily be interpreted as you refusing to buy anything American made.

You're the one hung up on the start/stop, dont bring it up if not wanting to hear about it.
I know I'm stuck with the lawnmower battery version. Yay, I'll have to replace my batteries every year or every other.

Maybe you'll have better luck than I did.

Who would have guessed we don't know what he is talking about when he uses the internal nicknames he gave to everything.

If that's your primary concern then simply disconnect it.

Or use it as something else to complain about. Your choice.

No, it is a carpy system but I'm stuck with it (well, I'm not its not available in the packages I want) I just feel its the lessor of two evils.

I'm not interested in a 2025, not looking for an old vehicle, certainly not for new money.
Why I keep saying Vega engine? Its the cheap aluminum cylinders. I've sleeved to many aluminum blocks. Only one reason for it... MONEY.
Make um cheap and stack them deep. And I'll repeat if those two engines are my only options its not ment to be. Hoping for something in this 12 four 12.

Not buying American hmm you dont know me at all.
Come on Ratbert stop trying to spin things ugly.
I will say I have appreciated the work you do here.

I'm far from the original poster. I was just agreeing with someone of what a pain in the tail it is to order a simple jeep, then became tonight entertainment. Its all good as long as no one beats the wife or kicks the dog.

I figured I knew what you meant by Vega engine, but I'm thinking the vast majority of people here didn't. That is, they'd have to guess what you were complaining about. I took one valid guess (assuming it'd get your goat) and it worked.

Have there been significant issues related to aluminum in these engines? I'm not aware of any. Aluminum in the body panels? Hell yeah. But in these engines? Not so much. But it gives you yet another excuse to sit back for five friggin years and not buy one. You've got that...if that's your goal.

What the fuck is up with your inability to simply say what you want? Are you saying you want a 2026??? Maybe a 2024???

From past experiences with others, it certainly seems like he doesn't really want to buy one, but wants to bitch about not finding "the one" and will come up with an excuse no matter what Jeep we find

Why would you think you'd have to pay above sticker???

Have you seen the deals offered by the dealerships in my spreadsheet? It's been there for three of the five years you've been looking.
Wow, missed a few of these when I stepped out.
Hmm why do people spend more then sticker? REALLY, its not just a Jeep thing but how many people here paid over sticker, WAY over sticker for the limited edition 392? Only to have it come out again the next year, then final edition next final final edition.
Not me.
I'll bet it gets ugly if the 5.7 is offered in a jeep

Yes and I appreciate your spread sheet, we've chatted over the years.

There are a lot of people who want a mythical Jeep that isn't being made, but you aren't going to just will it into existence. There are currently 5 powertrain options. If you don't like any of those, then I guess you will likely have to wait for the next generation of Wrangler, which will have even more electronic components that you seem to have issue with. It's not going to get better than what is available now. Every year they add more electric components to the vehicles being built.
