Ya know, if you'd gotten tan leather you'd have a nice neutral colored dash. :bandit:
Thought about that, but iirc, the tan Mopar/Katzkin seats only gave you tan seats (and the nicer dash), while the steering wheel, center/side armrests and shift boots were still black leather, but with white stitching instead of red and that's half-assed in it's own special way.

Plus, I didn't think the tan would match very well with Sting-Gray. I would've loved to have the grey quilted leather and dash from the High Altitude trim even with some black bits, but oddly enough, Jeep doesn't allow the grey interior with the grey exterior.

Such weird decisions. I can just see their designers presenting their plans.. "Eh, fuck it. Some of it matches, right?" "And those seats? Yeah, it's for one trim only and it can only be used with 3 exterior colors. Super-exclusive!" ?

I didn't realize all those little things. I just know I ran into one guy with a diesel Rubi that did the tan seats and the dash was very nice. His was black though and it worked really well.

I got the heritage tan cloth seats in mine and wanted the tan top, but they hadn't done away with the top for my year. Figured I could get a tan bestop...But nope.

Is there a car company that ā€˜does’ care what a consumer thinks? People are overestimating their experience and power. Consumers will keep buying, a person might not. I walked away from BMW because of their issues in 5 of their rides I owned — yeah I don’t think that impacted their bottom line. Pretty certain they didn’t call an immediate meeting ā€œOh snap, LOWMPG doesn’t like his 6 series, says the electronics are crap. He said he will not buy one again. Get the engineering and marketing team in here, we need to get him backā€ — yeah that didn’t happen.
Agreed, I have owned 2 Toyotas in the past 10 years and compared to the Jeeps and Kias I have owned they were lowest in initial quality and had repeated trips to the dealership, I won't buy another, but I doubt Toyota will sweat my decision.

I didn't bother reading this entire thread. If you've read one of Johnnie's threads, you've read them all. That said, I found his one about missing badges more entertaining than the 6 pages I read of this thread. This one is not bad; I think my favorite Johnnie-ism was when he asked who hacked his account and added "OP" to his avatar.

Obviously Jeep hasn’t screwed you over yet. On August 7, 2022 I went to the Jeep website and built the specific Jeep I wanted to see if it was feasible. The extreme recon package read, 35 inch tires, 1 1/2 inches of lift with corresponding front suspension parts, upgraded front axle, tail gate stiffener and fender extensions. On August 8, 2022, I went to the dealer and ordered my new JL. A little after ordering it, the price went up $6000. Jeep decided to start deleting parts after that,
engine cover, insulation panels on the roof and who knows what else. After driving off road and having a harsh ride, I looked at the bump stops on the front axle. They are 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict the upward movement of tires so it doesn’t hit the fenders. After investigating, what I actually got was a stock Rubicon with 35 inch tires and bump stops 1 inch away from the front axle to restrict upward movement of the tires so they don’t hit the fenders. I looked up the part numbers of the springs for a stock Rubicon, and that is what is on my jeep. Besides that, the vent cap for the transfer case is on top of the top of the transfer case not a hose running to the back of the intake manifold. It measures out at 27 inches not the 33.6 water fording height Jeep claims. When I brought all this to Jeeps attention, their response was that’s how it is supposed to be. It has been to the dealer twice and they won’t fix it. Jeep doesn’t care.
When FCA was trying to sell Chrysler as a whole , Chevrolet was negotiating hard to purchase just Jeep. I heard some else mention that foreign companies were also trying for just Jeep. FCA wanted to sell Chrysler as a whole. In steps Stellantis. They are probably tired of complaints about Jeep refusing to do warranty work. Jeep knows their time is limited and are trying to build as many vehicles as they can and make as much money as they can before that day comes, and it is coming.
I understand Jeep has the right to make changes without notice on stock order vehicles. They lose that right on a special order vehicle. I should been notified. If you plan on trying to defend Jeep to me do not respond.
Oh great, another sob story...

I was thinking the same thing.
I don't know anything about setting up a GoFundMe, but I do contribute to them.

Dude would still need to provide a shipping address.
Could be a P.O. box, business address, friend/family in a totally different state.
I would chip in.

The link you provided says COMING SOON! This product is not currently available to order.

I'm still in.
If someone can source a kit and provide some method of payment, I'll chip in.
Crap, I didn't scroll down far enough to see that it's not available. How can something that's no longer on Jeeps be "coming soon"?

That is the whole "kit" from Mopar.
I don't care if he actually gets it mounted, I'd buy just the cover as a gesture.
There has to be one out there.

I'm partial to the LC250 and that would be the only thing that could pull me away from another Jeep next time I'm ready to buy.

And that is if it prices out better than the 4Xe Willy's I've got in mind.
I wish there was a 2-door version.

I'm beginning to think that we shouldn't. If the tables were turned I might be offended. I'm not sure.

I’m thinking we set up a poll to help the OP get a grip on the situation… thatā€˜s you JB… the lucky one with the banner.
  • We all owe an apology to OP
  • OP needs to admit that he/she could be wrong
  • OP should ban him/herself and put everyone out of misery
  • Keep the thread going until the truth is accepted by OP
Or a simpler poll?
  • OP is wrong
  • OP is right

There are so many claims that a poll would be too damn confusing.
