why so many floor jacks for the garage. Kinda pointless. What do you use on the trail
I acquired them along the way for reasons above. Only 2 live in the garage. Having 2 garage floor jacks is very handy. I use 2 jacks every time I rotate tires on the vehicles. It makes fast work out of tire rotation. I also have a couple sets of Race Ramps I bought for the Camaro. Thought about giving the Race Ramps to a friend with a Porsche. But my wife has a car that I use them on occasionally. I did have a 3rd steel floor jack in the garage that had blown a seal. I gave it to the gardener

The third is the aluminum jack that lives in the crewcab truck. Jacking a fullsize crew with anything less than a floor jack is futile. I was looking at gettin that Pro Eagle for the truck a couple years ago, but the current jack gets so little action, I soon forgot about it.

The jeep has a stock jack and a HiLift.

You accumulate things along the way and some things you just hang on to. I'll keep them until I don't have a use for them. I've been thinking about buying a motorhome and a floor jack would live in the cargo compartment of it for sure.

A bottle jack is hydraulic and overkill for a Jeep. You can lift most trucks with them. An 8 year old can lift the Jeep with the scissor jack. Just never go below the Jeep with any jack and no stands.
I wasn't critisizing your use of a scissor jack, I was just telling you what i like to use. Definetly use a jack stand when jacking it up. I carry two of those also. It may be overkill but it is fast and if I need to, It's easy to use for some self recovery issues because you can drive off a bottle jack while its fully extended and it will just tip over without damaging the jeep.

Sorry Dave, I wasn’t criticizing you either. Happy Jeeping brother.
