Can I jack up my JLU on the pumpkin or is that a poor idea? Just 2 lift points instead of each side of each axle.

Like in general or out on the trail? Jacking on the pumpkin is fine if you're gonna jam some jack stands on either side but I wouldn't be doing too much like that, especially hanging out underneath it. If your vehicle is stock, the supplied jack is fine at the axle. Can I jack up my JLU on the pumpkin or is that a poor idea? Just 2 lift points instead of each side of each axle.
I would lift it from the pumpkin and then throw in two jack stands. My question is more about not breaking the differential cover rather than safety.Like in general or out on the trail? You’re fine to jack by the pumpkin, it won’t break. Much easier and quicker as well.I would lift it from the pumpkin and then throw in two jack stands. My question is more about not breaking the differential cover rather than safety.
It's allowable, but I'm careful to do so only when necessary. DIY tire rotations come to mind. Jack stands should be quickly put in place after each end is raised sufficiently. Can I jack up my JLU on the pumpkin or is that a poor idea?
Ya man, you're not gonna break a diff by jacking it. Fill your boots.I would lift it from the pumpkin and then throw in two jack stands. My question is more about not breaking the differential cover rather than safety.
