Last September I took delivery of my JLUR and every day I drive it I love it!
  • So capable! As I have shared I visited Moab just before Labor day and was so pleased with both the on road and off road abilities. I mean going from 70 MPH on the highway to Elephant Hill road was amazing
  • Its a family convertible - I have wanted a drop top for a long time, and I love that the wrangler easily seats my family and the dog when the top is down. Yes other convertibles have 4 seats, but really the back seats are pretty worthless. Plus both the hard and soft tops are solid, I have no leaks or other issues with either and both work and function well
  • Tech and goodies - I am totally pleased with the features available. I know they are not for everybody but I really like the blind spot monitoring, the fact that the Aux switches get a wire bundle in the cab and under the hood. The 8.4 inch screen fits well in the over all dash and interior design of the JL
  • Engine choices - while I went 3.6 with eTorque it is pretty impressive the choice of motors to pick from and all of them good
  • Optional Gorilla Glass - I added it and am please with it. In the first year of owner ship I took several rocks to the window with no issues, even saw one last second before it hit right in front of me and didn't leave any kind of mark. Yes it final took a catastrophic blow in a construction zone in Utah, but again I totally please with it
  • Easy up keep, oil changes are snap, and like all modern cars maintenance is so much easier. So thankful to not have carburetors, manual chokes, cap and rotors, short lived spark plugs, heaters and ACs that barely function, etc. Thinking back to my '73 Dodge Dart the JLUR is a modern miracle!
My 2 biggest misses - the XR package was announced about a month after I ordered. Wish it would have been available sooner Second - should have got leather. I know it gets hot, but it cleans up so much better than cloth.

Anyway I am totally please with my Jeep! ;)

Really glad you're loving it.
The seats? Have you seen mine?
I got cloth seats and like you, really prefer the ease of clean-up of leather. So I ordered and installed Fia Leatherlites. Pics attached. I think they look as good or better than the factory leather seats. You wouldn't notice at first that they are seat covers; fit is stellar. And the color options are cool. I installed them in my 21 Rube, and when I traded it in a year later, I took them out of the 21 and put the same ones (even a year old) into my brand new XR. Clean-up is an Armorall wet leather wipe; no big. Still look new.
