So here's something to consider:But i have nails and thus the little fingertip window buttons dont allow me to fit my nail ...
Well. That lil push of the start/stop also annoyed the crapola outta me. I yanked out 1 of the hood sensors- with my long nails- and viola, that solved that problem. Her Highness doesnt have start/stop so i dont have to worry about it.So here's something to consider:
The driver's side seatbelt latch in our 2002 Liberty upgefucht (German technical term for 'ceased working') quite some time ago. The little red button thingie sticks in the depressed state, and the seatbelt won't latch.
But ... if the little red button thingie can be pulled back out of the depressed state, it will latch just fine.
Replacing that part of the seatbelt costs more than should be necessary, and is a PITA to replace as well.
So. I have the little hook-pick thingie on the far right in this image lying there by the transfer case shifter. It works great for catching the little red button thingie and pulling it up. While this may seem a bit unwieldy, it really isn't. No more than pushing the Stop/Start thingie in the JLU. Part of the pre-flight, as it were.
