I was on the OBX of North Carolina a couple weeks ago and saw a guy running a newer truck in the surf. This will NOT be the truck to buy in a couple years.

Salt water and vehicles =/= "good idea."

I knew a guy who had a new 83 Toyota 4WD truck he drove through the surf. By 1988 it was a rust bucket. And this guy took good care of stuff. That salt water gets into places you'll never wash/rinse it out of.
