Hello,

I have a deal on the table for a new 2024 4 Door Unlimited Rubicon. The MSRP is a whopping, eye watering $63,270. I cannot believe Wranglers nowadays are north of $60k! Insanity... This one has been on their lot for over 250 days! Yikes!! It's about to celebrate it's first birthday! Yay!

Anyhow, I have the dealer down to exactly $51,522.94 out-the-door (includes the $499 doc fee). Here in Missouri, we pay our taxes at the DMV when we title our vehicles. I also have a $1,000 private offer rebate that has been applied to the deal.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

This seems like a good deal to me, but I have not been watching closely.
Just a thought: I suspect you could get a new Willys for less -- do you need/want the front locker, the electronic anti-sway bar disconnect, the floating rear axle, the Rubicon badge?

Yes, that's a very good point! I'm going to check out a Willys! :)

It's a really good deal as long as it hasn't been test driven like crazy. I tend not to purchase new vehicles unless under 10 miles. I just purchased a Willys 2 weeks ago, but been waiting 2 months for the build and had it shipped from OH to NJ. 4 miles on it and told dealer No prepping or detailing as I wanted an 8 year ceramic put on it. Received it with all interior wrapped in factory plastic and all still taped up. MSRP was $62K, but it was built to my spec and I wasn't letting it get away because only a handful out there with this build. OH was the closest dealer I can find one at. NJ dealers don't budge much on price orher than any Jeep incentives. I got $5K off of MSRP. Could of got $8K off if I took one from California, but it was on a dealer lot with 26 miles on it and shipping would cost too much. If it's the one you want, you're getting a great deal...

For your reference, I purchased a 21 JLU Rubicon with cloth seats and cold weather group in July of 21 for 49k. No bells and whistles other than heated seats, mirrors, and steering wheel. Painted fenders (which I removed), black top on Sarge green body. Passive lock entry was the first thing I added once I got it home (because I've been spoiled.)
Sounds about right to me. If you're getting more features I would say it's definitely worth it.

I knew I wanted a Rubicon over any other model because I wanted to start with all of the Rubicon extras without having to swap everything underneath it. Any Wrangler will get you just about anywhere you want to be but it will cost you extra money and time to swap up to the heavier off road guts down the road. And I love being able to push a button (even though I despise push buttons) to disengage when all the JK Sports I offroad with have to get out and unlock and lock everything by hand.

Sounds like an exceptional deal, if the numbers are correct. Don’t let the F & I department make up the loss with extended warranties and “protection” packages.

One word of caution. Expect the batteries to cause problems in the near future after sitting on the lot so long. Mine was on the lot for 7 months when I bought it. Aux battery went at 1 year, and I continued to drive it until the main went 6 months later. Sitting around, not being driven is hard on the batteries.
