I have a 2018 Wrangler JL and I started it up the other day and the instrument cluster is completely out. No speedometer, tachometer, fuel, lights anything. I checked the fuse that I believe could be the issue and it seemed fine.

In researching I noticed it could possibly be the aux battery. The engine start/stop feature does not appear to be functioning either (the button works for it but the vehicle won't start/stop like it normally does). My plan is to test the aux battery but wanted to see if anyone had any insight on this issue.

I was looking into the Can C Bus but my head started hurting trying to figure out the wiring etc.

I tried finding a replacement cluster just in case it is that but of course I couldn't find the original cluster available anywhere.

Any sugguestions, easy ways to test things. I'm open to all input. Thanks!

Isn’t there a recall or something in certain gauge clusters?

Its probably the cluster that has failed. I work at a dealership and I have 3 different jl that are waiting on back ordered clusters. The only clusters that are coming in right now are ones that have the recall.

I noticed it was impossible to find one to order. If I was able to come across one do you know if it is plug and play or does the dealer have to program it. I've heard people say they caused their vehicle to go into limp mode because they tried swapping their clusters.

There are used ones available on EBay, the mileage will be wrong but you can get that corrected. I swapped my cluster out years ago and it has been fine.

Call United Radio. They will fix your cluster. I had the same issue.
