Edit: All I see are stickers. Leaves one to wonder what's actually under there.
Agreed. I’m sure we’ll find out this week! Unless someone at EJS can give us leaks…

Provided no one was looking, I'd have been sorely tempted to raise the hood for a look underneath. We complain about the absence of a locking hood; why not take advantage of it just once? ;)

In addition to the possibility of focal length as suggested in the preceding post, it may also be an effect of the long and low font of the hood decal changing the perspective.
Who cares if someone was looking, move quickly and you would know before you got hollered at. ?

Speculating a little bit here, but TFL posted pictures of what looks like an AEV Level II Hybrid JL with the Hurricane I6 HO engine in it. No pics of under the hood, but I'm assuming the HURRICANE 500 references the higher output variant of the Hurricane engine which has around 510 HP. Anyone at EJS to confirm?

Well it still has a charge port and the 2 liter is the 4 cylinder version of the I6 hurricane...

So let's extrapolate a little more the normal 4xe makes a combined 470 lbs of torque... I'm willing to bet that it's just a 2 liter 4xe turned up to 500 lbs of torque.

Then they can call it a hurricane 500.

☝ This!
I highly doubt there's an inline 6 under that hood. There's nothing longer about the front clip of that Jeep.

I'm in town so if I see it I'll be sure to check it out. Jeep is already here, they have their regular parking area roped off and the swag semi is already here. I was behind a 4xe on 35's, the little fender extensions and the tailgate reinforcement with Michigan manufacturer plates, so if that might be a possibility, though it's an easy one.

I hope you’re wrong :)

That hood looks longer.
Yeah, that was my thought, and I really dig it, makes the 4dr have more 2dr proportions... But means the break over will suffer a lot.

They need to do something to make us excited about the brand. Charging $100,000+ for an old school 392 isn’t doing much for its fanboy base.

Hey Stellantis I have an idea for you…stick a medium output inline six into the wrangler for a $3,000 up charge and you might be amazed by the increase in sales. Give me a reason to step up to a newer model…..I already have the 2.0 in my 2020 Ruby and I’m not interested in doing that again. The 3.6 is too gutless for me at altitude and the 2.0 is one crappy sounding engine when cold. If you don't do something, your competitors will….

Hate to break it to you but there is nothing different about that front end.

They should strip out all the fancy electronics, make it an analog as possible, and charge a premium for all the fanboys who want the pleasure of having a “Wrangler Classic Edition.” Slot the pricing just below Willys. Publish a bunch of interface and safety specifications for the after-market to run wild.

500 is only 30 more than 470. Which is what a standard 4xe Wrangler has.
I'm pretty sure 30 is more than nothing. Sure, not very substantial, but that might mean they've tweaked the software for the upcoming year hybrids, and maybe the regular 2.0.
