I have a 2023 2 door jl with the 2.0l turbo. My build sheet says that it has the 180 amp alternator, I’ve installed a sound system and I’m looking to upgrade the alternator to a high output one(preferably 300+amps). I just cant seem to find one

amps:
rockford fosgate R2-1200x1 prim(sub amp)
Ds18 genx 4x300 4ohm

speakers:
4x Alpine R-S65.2 R-Series 6 1/2-inch Coaxial 2-Way Speakers

Subs:
2x 10inch Rockford fosgate p3

Your pushing 2,400W max. Unless you're overdriving the amps and running near max volume aren't you OK at 180 amps?

The current sound set up can pull around ~150amps when maxing out, add another 50 for all the other accessories and I’m past my 180. I just got the jeep and I do plan on adding lights and I am a music lover so I do want to future proof for more devices. I’m really just wanting I 300amp alt to future proof but I cannot find one for the 2.0l anywhere. I think I might just have to settle with the 240 mopar option

As a long time car audio guy (my first USAC show was in 1996, I was National points champ, state champion and finished 2nd overall in 2008) and worked at a few shops over the years, I can say that the RF will only pull it's 110 amps if you are listening to a sine wave at full tilt, and the fronts will be crossed over so they won't be at full power. You probably will have somewhere in the neighborhood of 60-80 amps if you're hammering on it. I have a current shunt in my car on one of my five channel amps (of three) only pulls 30-40 amps when I'm jamming. Assuming you have a winch, it will be pulling max amps of around 300 amps but you probably won't be jamming and winching at the same time. You can look into the OEM 240 amp, but I would advise against aftermarket alternators of a higher power.
