Fun ones!
You need to do the reset ecu process. I always do the all ecu or whatever it is.

I keep my tazer plugged in and you can turn the SGW bypass on through there. No reason to unplug your Tazer.

I have another thought -- my son-in-law unplugged the connectors *behind* the OBD2 port I think, when he should have unplugged the connectors *above* (and harder to get to) the OBD2 port. If my guess is correct, then the extension cord and SGW would be plugged into connectors that lead to nothing. Does this sound like a possibility? I am an old and arthritic guy and it is pretty hard for me to get under there to look but I will try that later

You do want the hard to reach plugs

Make sure you are using the correct location, rest ecu, pick JL from main menu and adaptations, reset ecu, cycle ignition per JScan docs

You do not need to reset ECU in jscan.

Sounds like you don’t have cables connected properly.

Well, I just took a look with a flashlight and the extension cable (to which the SGW cable attaches, when needed) is plugged into connectors high above the OBD2 port and above and behind the metal bar/brace so I am nows thinking the extension cable is plugged in correctly. It has been pointed out to me that I might need to press "reset all ECU" (twice) as a final step. Maybe that fact that I did not do that is the problem.

I also have the Tazer Mini JL product and I will try that today. If it does not work, then maybe the security bypass cable I am using is defective.
Umarry the Tazer but leave it plugged in, it will act as the security bypass. No extra bypass cables. This is what I did last time I used JSCAN, and I was changing TPMS threshold same as you.

When I changed the tpms settings, I had to drive around before it changed

I am making progress. I got a very valuable assist from Rhinebeck01 and with his help, I have successfully changed one setting so I know I am on the right track. Tomorrow I will work on this some more and if all goes well, I will do a detailed write up of the procedure.

Hitting GO at the end of a change, restarts the ECU, this is good. Hitting ”reset ECU” resets the ECU to stock factory settings, not good if you want your changes to stick.

Just hitting "Go" did not work for me. I used the below procedure instead:

This is some of what I have learned regarding using JSCAN to modify settings on my 2025 Wrangler Rubicon 2D MT.

BYPASS the Security Gateway [I did this with the ignition totally off]:

The hardware I am using is an OBDLink MX+ to perform the changes. In order for that to work I have to bypass Chrysler’s security gateway. That can be done using a 12+8 cable [https://www.amazon.com/Autel-Chrysler-Programming-Connector-Pro/dp/B0BJQKK2TJ?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=A1KK3CLSXM5E1F&gQT=1] but a cleaner way is to use either a Tazer module [expensive] or ECRI module [less expensive] [https://ecri.app/products/ecri-secu...OgRhPDv9fRE2FfWLyBfbmjcqYb0uIWDikTq11iP0NLJZY]. [Link corrected for the ECRI module.]

The Tazer or the ECRI module plugs into the connectors located above the OBD2 port under the dash [the connectors that are awkward to get to and unplug]. The two connectors have multicolored wires leading to them and are located side by side. Once those connectors are disconnected and then plugged into either the Tazer or the ECRI module — you have successfully bypassed the security gateway. Now you can get started on the actual changes.

OBDLink MX+ [or similar device, with ignition totally off]:

Now you can plug the OBDLink MX+ into the OBD2 port. The OBDLink MX+ will illuminate confirming that it has power. Connect the OBDLink MX+ to your smart phone using Bluetooth. The module will confirm the Bluetooth connection by having the blue light go from flashing to steady illumination.

Place ignition in the “run” position [motor off]. Download the JSCAN app from the Android or Apple store.

USING the JSCAN APP [ignition in “run” position, motor off]:

Open the app and buy a license for something like $22. You can play with the app in demo mode to get familiar with it. To use it to make changes, select your vehicle from the choices offered [Jeep JL in my case]. This will bring you to the main page in the JSCAN app. Choose “Adaptation”. Pick something easy like Vehicle User Settings>Seatbelt Alert On/Off. You can now either Activate or Deactivate the seatbelt alert chime.

Then press “go” to initiate the change. The app will advise you that the change has been made — but you are not done. Select “!Restart all ecus” and wait for confirmation. Take your time. Follow the instructions on your screen. Once done, do it a second time, just to be sure.

The turn the ignition to “off”. Open and close the driver’s door and wait for 5 minutes for all the Jeep systems to completely shut down.

At this point, the change you wanted should have successfully taken effect. This procedure worked for me.
